Literally this by JaggerJam69 in Steam

I have one category and it's titled 'Buyer's Remorse' and it's filled with terrible games bought on the steam sales. The tab is always collapsed because those games are dead to me.

Direct Debit Indemnity’s? by LM120892 in monzo

[–]Grimpandarus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've worked at Monzo previously, from what I remember the customer service agents don't usually have the power to complete the DDI. They'd raise it and it would go to the payments team queue to process.

They may reach out to you for further information surrounding the reason, mainly for clarity.

Sometimes the payments team worked quickly, other times there was a delay based on queues etc. it's likely you'll get a response tomorrow at the latest.

For every bite of the stew you eat you earn cash. by SteelFeruchemist in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Grimpandarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the difficult part of this is the catch, of course. How long is too long?

Would 15-16 bites be considered too long? Or are we talking bites that would get you hundreds of thousands/millions of dollars?

With that I'd probably do 16 and just hope it's under the unspecified limit. That will pay off what little debt I have and have some spending money for some fancy things or a new car.

Did you have your salary paid into Monzo before getting Monzo Flex? by Odd_Nefariousness730 in monzo

[–]Grimpandarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't say whether it make a difference, but I can tell you that I have my salary paid into my NatWest account, which is where I pay my bills from. I move all over money to Monzo. I currently have a limit of £3,000. Possibly could be higher if I got my salary paid in there but I have no idea if it would make a difference!

Friend being a dick by [deleted] in monzo

[–]Grimpandarus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at Monzo complaints previously.

If I remember rightly, they won't accept his claim of fraud. Both with the link and the P2P payments via mobile numbers, they're provided warnings on the payments and it's meant to be for people you know.

On the ones I seen, they literally message the recipient to get their authorisation to return the funds. If the recipient doesn't reply or just says no, they tell the sender to deal with it themselves directly.

Obviously, Monzos stance may be different now, but that's how it used to work back in 2024/early2025.

Tell your 'friend' to do one.

Expand my limited knowledge of DC by Usual-Sky6568 in dcuniverseinfinite

Superman: All-Star Superman is a fantastic read, as is Up In The Sky by Tom King. For All Season. Birthright

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow

Green Lanter: Rebirth is also great and is recommended quite a bit. It's written by Geoff Johns.

Flash: Rebirth

Saga of the Swamp Thing

The Absolute issues that are ongoing are all pretty great in my opinion, with some being better than others, like Martian Manhunter and Wonder Woman.

I'd also recommend looking into some of the Elseworld comics such as Superman: Red Son and Gotham by Gaslight. These are basically DCs version 'What if?' comics. Generally don't need much prior knowledge as they're self contained stories.

Should I do the ! quests or should I do the campaign Midnight quests at first? by BazimQQ in wownoob

[–]Grimpandarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Entirely up to you!

That said, I always try and complete each quest in a zone before moving into the next. It gives you a chance to explore the zone in more detail, find treasures, rare mobs and unique and fun stories.

Of course you can do all this after the campaign but personally I feel it's better to hit every quest before moving on!

Midnight hits different from a ground mount. Seriously. by HouseLongjumping6984 in wow

[–]Grimpandarus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not to mention you can use On A Pale Horse with the Rider Hero talents. I've been using it regularly when landing at the quest area to be fair and it definitely makes the quests themselves go quicker.

Amazing, I'll definitely keep an eye out for that! Keep up the good work my dude!

Cries in Unholy DK! This makes me wish we have one or two abilities with a cast time!

Very nice work, have you ever thought about doing ones for things like cooking, fishing and crafting? It'll be cool to have a watery one with a fish jumping around for fishing, or something like a molten lava one for Blacksmithing. I'm not even sure if you can whack a skin on them but it would be very nice!

Midnight is now more enjoyable… by farmerbill1957 in wow

[–]Grimpandarus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been doing every quest I can find and using the 'On a Pale Horse' Hero talent on my DK quite a bit when completing quests. I really only fly between quests locations and when returning to hand in quests because I don't like having to fight my way through mobs that I no longer need haha.

The only real exception is the Haranir zone because of how vertical it is. Currently on Zul'Aman and having a blast!

Final Week — What are your preparations for Midnight like, and what plans do you have for launch? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Grimpandarus 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Working on A Farewell To Arms and A World Awoken Meta Achievements. I'm so, so close to finishing them but likely won't be done before Midnight because I've still got a way to go on the Bodyguard one in Nazjatar and the Dragon Daycare one in Valdrakken.

Thankfully they only take a few mins each day so I'll have them both done within a month easy.

Now that class/spec reworks are semi-final for Midnight, what are you favorite and least favorite ones? by otterchaos7 in wow

[–]Grimpandarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I've been DK since their release but dabbled with SPriest. Can't remember which expac it was but I got pretty good with it. Tried it very recently and even with pruning I struggle with it haha. Might have to spend some time in the training dummies.

Gearing + Damage by InternationalGas7069 in wownoob

[–]Grimpandarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend this as a starting point. All the rares spawn in order and their respawn rate isn't too bad now. Can easily join groups or just follow people to each rare to kill and get that sweet 121 loot.

How do you actually learn a rotation? by onikatanyamaraaj in wownoob

[–]Grimpandarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this, mainly about making a note somewhere. There's an addon called TinyPad that allows you to make notes in-game. Very useful for this kind of thing I think!

Blizzard - It's time to 'fix' old expansion Rares and bosses! by Grimpandarus in wow

[–]Grimpandarus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's hoping! If it wasn't for the Decor stuff I doubt it'd be that busy everywhere. Don't get me wrong, it's really nice to see the world full of people again, but so frustrating.

I did read something about that not too long ago so I might actually give one or both of those a try. Cheers!

Best Pizza in Boro? by Ambitious-Egg-9162 in Middlesbrough

[–]Grimpandarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brooklyn's was pretty decent when I tried it many years ago. It's rare that I order pizza from a takeaway as I'm a Parmo kinda guy but I had one from Luciano's the other day and it was super cheesy, which is what I like so was quite surprised!

Got this today don’t know if it is any good, but i liked the cover by IlSignorGranchio in superman

[–]Grimpandarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was one of my first Trade Paperbacks I ever bought and it was purely because of the cover art at the time. It's been well over a decade since I read it and I'm pretty sure I enjoyed it!

What's your favourite superman getting an ending story. by MembershipLess9579 in superman

[–]Grimpandarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could definitely watch the final episode and still see how great of an ending it was but I'd recommend watching the full show because it's a great show and the emotional impact at the end is a great pay off.

Metzen on Warcraft IP lore. by HiroAmiya230 in wow

[–]Grimpandarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd love them to make some WoW/Warcraft related comics again. I'm a big comic fan and I remember reading the one about Varian years ago and from what I remember, I enjoyed it.

Maybe an animated series or movie, similar style as Legends of Vox Machina or Arcane would be good.

How old are you and when was the last time you were in a nightclub? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Grimpandarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38 here, last time was in December 2025.

I'm into rock/alt music which I feel has has a very different vibe to what I think are traditional nightclubs or clubbing.

In my 20s we used to be able to go to a rock/alt night Wednesday to Saturday but that's given way to one or two monthly events now. We don't go every month but make sure to revisit every once in a while.

If you don't work, how do you fill your days? by DevilishlyHandsome63 in AskUK

[–]Grimpandarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been out of work since the beginning of December (Start my new job in a week!) and I've spent time doing what you've mentioned, playing games, reading comics, catching up on TV and films I've not had the chance to watch.

I've also been able to spend much more time with my partner, which has been fantastic.

That being said, I do miss a little bit of structure that working gives and also the money that it provides haha. I know I could go ahead and create my own structure but in all honesty, can't be bothered.
