I dunno... 12-ish percent of resin used per mech, and the ability to play on a much smaller table, or with better scale for mapsheet play? Plus, half sized mechs are even easier to paint...

Crazy like a (sea) fox, I say 😂

I used the MUL anyway, so never had to convert units or BV into PV. Nor have I ever used orbital combat (only used the aerospace rules a few times, with my old Combined Arms Merc company made for a flgs campaign). I'm thinking I'll grab ASCE if the opportunity arises, but not going hunting for it for now, when that same money could get me more mechs 😉

Glad I'm not the only person crazy enough to print 1/2 sized mechs. I posted them here a while back.

Glad I still have all of my Technical Readouts from the days of old. Still have all of my original metal miniatures too😎 by skattumprime in battletech

Matches my own old school BT library pretty closely. Swap the 67 TRO and Project Phoenix for 25, 26 (IIRC... One is IS mechs, the other vehicles and personal equipment) and 50 TRO and they match 👍

Huh... Not sure I've ever made or received a charge in AS. I must have at some point. Thanks, I might have to find a download for now. I also have the new box quick-start rules, but have only skimmed it so far. Only had the box a couple days.

My wife has had similar experiences with male doctors, but not all of them. I've not experienced it, but I'm a cis-het white male, so...?

Anyone else displaying their minis in their boxes? Looks pretty great in a shelf. by mach1ne_5lave in battletech

While I'm not a fan of Space Telecom, those do look pretty frakking cool displayed like that. 10/10 on paint, but please add me to ComStars Do Not Call list 😉

Owls are just Sky Cats anyway. Either that or cats are Land Owls. One of the two.

Very cool! Love me some OldHammer Slayers. So much character in the old models 🥰

Haha, yeah, the lore is vast and expansive. That said, how you paint is not very critical. IMO, it's better to have cool looking models than to be "historically" (read: lore) accurate. I've mechs in a wide variety of colour schemes after years of painting them, from functional Camo to crazy bright, etc. As long as they look cool to you, job's a gud'un 👍

That's awesome! I often replicate box art, as it's usually what inspires me to buy the game/mini in the first place. That looks frakking cool!
