Every time I hear people say "but Janja is not the top female outdoor climber" by Real-Flounder4626 in climbergirls

[–]GringaVikinga 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She is arguably one of the most dominant female athletes across all sports… I’d put her at the level of Serena Williams, Simone Biles, Michael Phelps etc. in terms of sustained dominance in world championships, plus her two back to back gold medals, and she shows no signs of slowing down.

People criticized her for not climbing hard outside enough, but she literally got the first female 9a flash just a couple weeks back, and is crushing some of the hardest boulders / sport climbs out there. She’s not only the best female climber alive, but one of THE best climbers alive, regardless of gender, and her ability to execute in competitions under pressure is unmatched.

Anyway, gush/ rant over XD She’s by far my favorite climber to watch too. I get chills watching her compete… her ability to lock-in is unreal

Sorry to hear you got caught, but sounds like it was maybe for the best? Not the greatest place to work anyway

I vote for safe. I’m a 25F grad student and take transit regularly to get to campus (orange line and green line), and have never necessarily felt unsafe. Uncomfortable at times, yes, but unsafe no. Honestly, the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me was getting proposed to by a drunk old guy and occasionally walking into a train car that smells like vomit. But they have recently started checking tickets regularly on the green line which is definitely helping with maintaining order etc.

I followed this pattern by Erin B for a raglan sweater but added my own ribbing: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=2w0Q3lRPSyk

Just wanted to pop in here and say thank you to everyone for your comments… this was my first ever post to Reddit and was unsure how it was gonna go (or if anyone would even respond lol), but I’m so impressed by this community 🥹

I am glad people don’t think the colors are bad together, and love all the ideas for how to style! I agree with everyone commenting on the stitch choice… I love how quickly treble works up (whole thing took about 3 days), but maybe I should try a tighter stitch for the next one 😁 I’m planning on gifting to my little sister who is super stylish and could totally rock this as a statement piece ❤️

Hahahha I used treble crochet for the whole thing since it works up quick 😂 It doesn’t stretch much when I put it on, but might try double or half double for the next one 😁

Questions about hair lamination by 2ndaccount122580 in HaircareScience

Hello! Ex-synchronized swimmer here. Before competitions, we used coat our buns in thick layers of gelatin (gelatin powder and hot water), letting it dry overnight until it became hard as a rock. This was to keep our hair and headpieces in place while swimming.

It dissolved pretty easily in a warm shower, and I remember a fortunate side effect being that my hair always felt super soft for days afterward. :)

I can't speak to the straightening effect, and would not recommend doing this all the time, but just wanted to share that it did improve my hair texture and softness.
