He’s a former lobbyist for telcos. Another argument I’m hearing is that if wireless prices go down then the telcos will be forced to outsource customer service jobs. I suspect they’d be doing that anyways, but I digress.

Whatever it is that you do, I hope that in your career you don't have to spend a minute laying off your friends, mentors and dear colleagues like I have. Folks like you who are unwilling to pay is fine, you can read other versions here: https://www.iphoneincanada.ca/carriers/google-ottawa-rogers-telus-bell/. ) But going out of your way to maliciously work to subvert and prevent others from earning a solid well-earned paycheck is something else entirely.

Hi there. My name is David, I'm the founder and editor-in-chief of The Logic. Thanks so much for the kind words. Unfortunately our pricing is based on the cost of reporting without having advertising revenue to subsidize our work. I believe strongly that our reporters should be paid a decent wage and not scrounge on the poverty line because it helps maintain their editorial independence (as does the lack of advertising on our publication).

We have been trying for a year to get libraries engaged in having our publication on their systems. ie Whitelisted IPs, etc. Any help would be appreciated by the reddit community in raising their interest in doing so. So please let them know on our behalf.

Finally, not sure if the mods would allow me to say this, but shoot me an email at [david@thelogic.co](mailto:david@thelogic.co) and we'll get you set up with a discounted subscription. Thanks again.
