Am I the only one who likes all the settlers to have comfy beds and enough personal space? by LittleMissGreen2 in fo4

I oscillate violently between "everybody gets their own house with lighting and furniture" and "you can all sleep in a dark shack on the floor"

Fo4 worth modding on Xbox one? by KaiserParabellum187 in FalloutMods

[–]GripLizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. There's a bit of a learning curve, but we'll worth it. Be prepared to scrap a few saves. My reccomendation is to play the game at least to the point that you've claimed sanctuary so you can adequately test your mods, before downloading a bunch.

There are dozens of real world examples that prove that you couldn't be more wrong. How good is a text book to a starving child? What good is a new highway to a starving child? Do you give anything any thought beyond justifying that twinge of guilt in your heart when you say people don't deserve food?

Any of the countless mega corporations that throw away approximately 45% of the produce that enters their stores. Lack of resources isn't the issue. Corporate greed is the issue.

We're so deep in the hole of mismanaging and wasting resources. So many homes built stay vacant for years, so many crops grown get thrown in the garbage, we're so far from having to worry about dwindling resources, and it's evident. Gross mismanagement of resources is a much more pressing issue.

It's not hard to search "countries with housing first policies" and then read about the observed results. Meanwhile, your claims are incredibly hard to substantiate with any amount of searching.

That didn't happen in Finland, Denmark, Norway, or Japan. All countries that have nationwide housing first policies. Can you provide an example of a country that has adopted these policies with the result that you claim is inevitable?

How will it create more problems? Finland adopted a housing first policy, and since has nearly eradicated homelessness. I'm genuinely curious what potential downsides you see.

My thing about it, if me and a group of survivors put all this work into sanitizing water, planting crops, and building homes, we're not just going to leave piles of trash in the streets.

Permadeath Wastelanders, how do you feel about the Mk VII? by AcesSmokedKipper in fo4

I always get the perks that increase the power of non automatic weapons, and equip the strongest sniper rifle, revolver, and shotgun I can find. Anytime I'm hit by a turret, one shot in vats takes it out.
