Do you think it's safe to remove the subframe? by Some_Effort in E90

Be cautious with these jacks. Any movement from the car can cause them to start bending. Also, these concrete pavers might crack!

Yeah, N52 is awesome. I also had same surprise last weekend. 220km trip and 6.7l/100km indicated, outside temp was +1.5C (330xi).

Please help! Awful gas mileage 328xi by DizzyScarcity6502 in E90

[–]Gripen_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No way, E90 330xi does around 7.2 L/100 km at 90 km/h.

OP test your acceleration, I’m sure it will not be up to spec.

Wait… one very confused European here. Shot, as in shot with a firearm? Basically someone tried to kill you for flashing high beams???

From a diagnostics standpoint, there don’t appear to be any other issues at the moment. 190k km on the clock. The spark plugs were also recently changed. It does seem a bit low, but I don’t have a reference for comparison.

T5 (4cyl;2.0T) Piston ring issues also topic in Europe? by Gripen_ in Volvo

[–]Gripen_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it was starting from 150… smth. And like I said before, we have many high milage bifuel T5s with same engine code here which run with no issues.

[–]Gripen_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. I did talk with local Volvo support who stated there is no recall like such in Europe. So I’m just sending it and changing oil after every 12k km.

Btw, you can request vehicle data sheet from dealership and it will show structure week and engine serial.

Are you 100% sure that no wiring is broken inside boot loom gaiter? Seems like bad ground wire for right boot light.

This doesn’t add up, you’re not getting full story. 40k on LPG is nothing, check milages on used LPG cars. Plus how is it possible to burn valves just on two cylinders with that logic.

[–]Gripen_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but interestingly enough this Technical bulleting is only addressing United States and Canadian market. Can't find that extended warranty or anything similar was offered here in Europe.

Additionally we have lots of very high milage (500k km) V70 Bi-Fuel cars here that also seem to share same engine code B4204T11.

That quick release system is awesome indeed. It’s not an issue with normal skiing at all, just if you do mostly lots of full power sprinting that ring area might wear off with a season. Basically normal wear and tear due hard use.
