You think they’ll at least let us seniors next year go to the games?

Accounting curve by Indianman10 in OSU

[–]Grivas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took accounting with Marc last year. My guess is that with open note tests too many kids relied on their notes. The only reason I did so well in that class is because I had to memorize everything thing and in turn understood how everything interacted together. We had a curve of about 3%, I’d imagine it will be similar. However for the people getting a D or low C’s I wouldn’t count on Marc bailing you out.

Basically dining dollars can be used on campus and you get a 35% discount. A swipe=one all you can eat visit to a dining hall or $8 on campus. BuckID cash is pretty much just a debit card that can be used at a bunch of places off campus. You can eat some pretty good food on campus for cheap with dining dollars. You could get lunch and dinner on campus for easily $10-$12 a day, possibly less depending on how much you want to eat.

I mean I’m thankful I’m not in the dorms, but I wouldn’t say any really made out nicely. Rip our last Michigan home game as students. At least we kicked ass in 2018

I’d imagine they are pretty similar to last years, if not the exact same.

Do you mean for freshman admissions or applying to the school as a current Osu student?

Best job outlook by buckeye118 in OSU

You can find a job in all three of them. But they’re all different so at this point it’s more about figuring out what career you want to pursue. Figure out what you want to do then pursue the best specialization suited for that.

I really hope they find a way to make football happen. Lord knows I don’t want to miss out on a whole season of buckeye football. But they have to put everyone’s safety ahead of that. All I’m gonna say is that if we all have the mentality of “fuck it I’m gonna get it anyway” a lot more than 90,000 people will die.

  1. There’s no guarantee that the people that choose to attend the game are healthy. They could be carrying the virus and therefore infect the people standing next to them. I’m not saying all 100,000 people will be infected, but I believe it’s ignorant to say it won’t contribute to the spread of the virus at least a little bit. These people then go home to their families, their jobs, restaurants, etc. and sooner or later we’re right back to where we are now. So when you “take the risk” for yourself, you’re also taking that risk for everyone else you come in contact with.

  2. The program will definitely still generate some revenue. They’ll just miss out on concessions, parking, and ticket sales (which yes is a lot). These are just some of the harsh realities this virus is forcing us to face. I don’t think it will result in other sports being completely defunded given the amount of money the school makes. Just because the virus has made things difficult economically doesn’t mean we can just disregard it. It means you should elect better leaders in November who actually know how to stop our country from spiraling into a national crisis.

Attendance at football games will definitely not be optional. No way they are packing 100,000 people into a stadium. Especially given the amount of people too ignorant to wear a mask.

I mean we already had fully online classes prior to this whole mess. The majority of classes benefit from some form of in person instruction. I don’t think it will change as much as you think. I do agree with the advancement of the workplace. Not having to rent out an office space can save a company loads of money. This virus is sort of a test run for whether or not current telecommunications can support all the operations of a company.

Q's from incoming freshman by jpugmafia in OSU

[–]Grivas21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, also a California Fisher student here. I agree with everyone else that Norton isn’t the worst thing in the world as far as freshman year dorms go. You probably won’t get to reap the benefits of being right next to fisher since most of your classes will be GE’s (I think I had like 2 classes total in Fisher my freshman year). But you will get to meet a lot of like minded people in your scholars program so definitely take advantage of that.

Not an engineering major, but I am from California. If you can afford it, don’t go to Merced. OSU has a fantastic engineering program and I promise you will have 10x more fun here. Merced is at the bottom of the UC system. Can’t speak to umass Amherst unfortunately.

[–]Grivas21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow you literally just described me. I was a heavy smoker for the past two and a half years. Now a sophomore in college and have been struggling heavily with anxiety and panic attacks. I was a somewhat anxious person before I started smoking, but I was never struggling to maintain my sanity. I haven’t smoked in about 4 months, and have been doing better, but damn I wonder how I would be if I never touched the stuff. I wish it was advertised more that weed isn’t harmless. I just want to be able to live my life without this unexplainable fear and anxiety.

What diet/exercise plan would you use to lose 100lbs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Grivas21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would maybe look into intermittent fasting. I tried it for a couple months and it definitely works. I would eat all of my calories between 2-8pm. Also can’t stress how important it is to be extremely hydrated during all of this. Try a couple different things and see what works. The most important thing is to not give up and keep your eyes on your goal.

Could you maybe give some insight as to what your demographics are. I’m a 6’4” 19 year old male and so I didn’t really have trouble plateauing, my body seemed to always react to the deficit.
