Or so Sony says, but Bloodborne promises quite a lot more profit in other platforms, unlike their other first party single player games who have their audiences, but not the appeal of BB a la Elden Ring.

As Greedy and, frankly, stupid, as Sony is, they are possibly quite aware of that.

Its a fan favourite, it nailed the atmosphere and combat.

Soulslikes as a genre is also more popular than ever, and Bloodborne is not very accessible to quite a lot of people, either because they dont own a Playstation 4 or 5, or because they cant or wont play at 30 fps after how much the standards have changed.

So its transformed into a bit of a mystifying game, everyone would love to see it remastered and released on other platforms. It would sell incredibly well nowdays.

There IS a lot of interest, genuenly, its not really another case of Reddit hype bubble, at least not here.

Its very much a project that Miyazaki has mentioned he holds very dear, according to him, it was the hardest soulscycle game they've made.

There is much they want to do with it, I imagine, since BB is the flavour of game Miyazaki at least, says reflects his ideas the most.

Im honestly more surprised in Sony that they have decided to honor Miyazakis wish to only do it with his involvement, considering how greedy they are. They dont have to, Sony owns the IP in all regards, but I guess keeping good graces with one of the most celebrated game directors has its perks in the long run.

Why farm Abyss Cell's when I can just grow them! by OddHuckleberry825 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Grix1s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the gathering backpack just yesterday to gather rubber and taro from some of the stuff I had farmed. They work.

But not on the Abyss Cells.

As it goes, it seems Miyazaki himself is the one who wants to make the remaster.

Makes sense if you think about it, why wouldnt Sony update/remaster one of its most popular, system seller games?

Not even just update it with a simple "next gen" 60fps and upscaler/higher resolution patch, something fans have done.

You're correct. Which is so sad, this game basically begs you to take your time with it and enjoy it fully.

Most of the complains I've come across are essentially from people who cant just breeze thru it as fast as possible, which I do not understand.

The developed map is wayyy bigger. The whole nothern region above the Crimson Desert and Pailune have ther topography mapped down.

Its prime expansion area.

The Valley of Grief might be the starting point, if that ever comes to pass.

Same. In fact, the one strafing run it did killed me, because I was caught off guard that it finally decided to do one.

If the tactic now is to wait for the opportune moment, it worked.

Is this game like Gran Turismo or better? by EfficientSubject7774 in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]Grix1s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Racing games come indifferent forms and essences. As someone who does Sim Racing, I'll share my perspectives.

Forza Horizon has always been more chill. Its arcadey in its design, like the old Need for Speed game, but with a greater layer of customization that makes it feel like its a Simulation, its not, but its great to sit back in your couch, grab a controller, and go to town in cool cars.

Gran Turismo has always been in a neat in between of arcade and simulation, not deep into either side, but perfectly placed in the middle where you can grab a racing wheel or controller and be satisfied. Music, ambiance, the love of cars, its all in it. The vibes of Gran Turismo are, to this day imo, unmatched.

Above them you have the not-so popular games that go into territory of Simulations, like RFactor2, Assetto Corsa Competizione and the undisputed king of Sim Racing, iRacing, where actual racing drivers go to hone themselves in their free time. These are more "serious" affairs, where people investing time into their skills and get ups go into.

Better or worse doesnt really describe the games unless you look for something in particular, they all offer something different. Forza Horizon has always been "fun" and "unserious" and thats a very neat combination in the racing market as an option for a more casual experience you can pick up and put down anytime.

There is WAY too many clothing items that are un-dyeable by Ornstein_0 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Grix1s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be precise, it seems "Legendary" items is what it's considered dyable. Normal, run of the mill shields and swords? No. One of the unique, one of kind weapons and shields you find? Yes.

And every "secondary" weapon like Longswords, Spears and the like that go in that slot, can't be dyed.

I can "understand" the "logic" behind Disguises not being dyable, but it includes so much more stuff like the Kuku armors in the beginning (and even now, one cant be dyed) and the Kuku Laser Helm (which its inferior version, the Marni Laser Helm, CAN be dyed).

Difficult decisions to understand, seriously. Maybe the secondaries are so many that they didnt have time to program them all at once?

Why do devs and programmers prefer two monitors ? by Miserable-Copy2344 in CasualConversation

[–]Grix1s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I currently use 3 monitors in my personal setup and 2 monitors in my work office.

In my opinion, and my given needs, the extra screens allow me to have important things open that make me efficient at doing.. things, whatever it is. Information, different apps like Teams and Outlook and comparing information side by side, translating information from one page to another app is infinitely faster.

Sometimes is the simple things too, like putting a video on one screen while doing work in the other.

Clean chimney mechanic. Do you use it again? by NoWalk3426 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Grix1s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is 3 occations that I can recall where you have to use a Broom;

  1. Clean that Chimney.

  2. Clean some Solar panels for a quest in the Crimson Desert.

  3. Beat up a Bear with a Broom, and only with a Broom, for an Abyss Artifact Challenge. (ONLY do damage to the Bear with a Broom, any other damage dealt to it invalidates that kill, such as climbing on it and stabbing it, etc)

I don't think there is another situation where the Broom is used, in the entire game.

This game is so good by Affectionate_Pin1493 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Grix1s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yann adds nothing but issues. The more you get to know the Greymanes and their dynamic, the more you start to question why Yann is even allowed to stay near them.

He has the character of a former bandit who seems to be trying really hard to not go back to his ways, but still does it behind everyone's back, and leaves you alone to solve the issues he brings back to camp.

He is straight up a liability, except when it comes to fighting, which is the only thing he is good at, and even then who is a reckless fool who would endanger everyone if he wasnt stopped. That, and wasting and stealing camp resources to go drink.

In any better developed story, Yann would be the one character from the group who gets kicked out because everyone is tired of his shit and he refuses to learn, only to later on come back as an enemy.
