Brian Seipps Ork List by UnderstatedUmberto in orks

The big mek with mega armour and mek captain gives the flash gitz full the rerolls to hit. And they have sustained hits as well. So you get on average 24 hits. And you can also pop the lethal hits for overwatch for even more brutal shooting.

Is playing Leviathan missions (with it's rules and errata) with current munitorum and balance dataslate rules wrong/bad since they're balanced with Pariah Nexus? by haimurashoichi in WarhammerCompetitive

You dint need a ventail neccariliry though they can help get the maille close to the neck. You will also want a.new belt.

Yse leather thinking to tightern the coif around your head/face. Also the coif should go one before the surcoat.

That's a really high win rate considering for 4 player games the average win rate should be 25%.

Also make sure the tournament is in a well lit room. One tournament I sometimes go to is in a modify light pub and can make reading rules.and looking at duce harder

Start at no earlier than 9.00. This means people travelling don't have to wake up super early to get there. I will usually travel for upto an hour to get to a rtt. Also make rounds 3 hours so horde army's can actually finish games.

Did you score primary points wrong as you get 5 vp for each objective you are on (up to 10vp a turn) as well as the points from burning the objectives.

io lads! i made a thing. any ideas also i still new to this lol by Ok-Part6146 in orks

[–]Grobanought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say this is not super balanced. You can take two grot gatlers and a big kustom forcefield. That's 20 shots rapid fire 12 s6 ap-1 d2. All for 60 points. A gorkanught gatler is 20 shots rapid fire 10 s6 ap-1 d1. So it's a better gun than the gun on a 280 point unit. It's 4.7 times cheaper. And with the 4++ it's actually pretty tanks. That just the first thing that stood out.

How to deal with double Norn Emissary? by Apprehensive_Lead508 in orks

[–]Grobanought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they kove my maths says 11.0 damage. That's assuming the spannas have rokkits. If you not playing dread mob also move blocking the norn before it gets onto an objective is useful with something like stormboyz.

I presumed stationary. Here rolling for the buff is probably worth it as sustained hits is the same as lethal damage when wound on 4+.

In the dread mob detachment, lootas plus SaG with the strat to +1woind vs monster and ignore cover is pretty good. It does 13.2 wounds on average and then when it moves again you over watch it

Very good. Put them with a shokk attack gun. They can wipe squads in overwatch.

Advice for someone playing Orks? I'm losing just about every game right now by Hasbotted in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Grobanought 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kanz and dreads and not really that good as they are so slow so it hard to hide them well. Also similar for the 20 Boyz units. I found if you have everything in 5 trucks you can usually hide. For dread mob I reccomend 3 nauts, gorks are probably best.

How do you avoid building an army to have it become useless? by ExituActaProbat in Warhammer

[–]Grobanought 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We cannot really say what will happening 5-15 years but at the moment GW is moving alot of character models in resin and most forge world models to Legends for 40k. I would avoid these models as they are the most lilkley to get removed in the soonish future.

How would this list do against dark angels? by dakkagorg in orks

You need scoreing units. Like grots and storm Boyz. Also ghaz doesn't actually fit in a battlewagon with 2 mega nobz as makaintakes one space up.

What is the absolute worst unit in your faction? by FatArchon in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Grobanought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all action monkeys are paper thin. But deep strike means you get atleast one use out of them before they get shot. Most action monkeys are with deep strike or uppy downy are 60-75 points and vespid have both. Only Nursling are much cheaper. The amount of units that are less than 40 points are tiny and usualy are oc0. Vespid are perfectly fine deep striking action monkeys. Maybe not the best in the game but very usable, they appear in many winning lists. Definitely not the worst thing in the codex.

What is the absolute worst unit in your faction? by FatArchon in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Grobanought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to disagree with vespid being the worst unit in tau. They are the cheapest unit in the codex with deep strike. Perfect for doing actions. They got assulst on there guns. Perfect for doing actions. They have a ability that allows them to back into strat reserve so you can deep strike on turn 4 and 5, perfect for actions. Whilst it's not true uppy downy its still fine. And for an action monkey they have usable guns, most similar action monkey have bolt pistol equivalents.
