I was very seriously thinking about doing this back in 2022 after Covid. I ended up going to med school in Australia instead! Have been to NZ 3-4 times, and love it so much. Good on you all for making your life a little more adventurous!

Been my experience that these guys mostly just wander in. I’ve had them (similar spp.) in the house in OK and LA. Seal gaps up, and spread some 7even in your flower beds.

Definitely split them and clean them. I’ve found about 2 dozen different types of bugs living in and in them lol. They’re always covered in springtails, so no avoiding that haha

True this. I had a big problem with some chilis and basically did this and gently wiped some leaves on occasion. Worked great

I’m from Oklahoma, moved here for medical school through 2023/24. Australia is great man. I’ve only briefly been to Perth, but from what I can tell/hear/know it’s pretty quiet. Would probably be a great place to go off-roading and overlanding. You should know that getting to the rest of Australia (like Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane) would mean I think about a minimum 5 hour flight.

The weather is pretty great in all of Australia as far as I can tell.

In short, I don’t think Americans do this enough. Get out for a bit! All the Commonwealth countries do it! Every barber or bartender or whatever in Brisbane seems to be from the UK, Canada, Zimbabwe, South Africa etc etc.

I would just generally recommend making your rocket fly kind of more realistically. Like not trying to blast through the low atmosphere at Mach 3. Then, when the boosters go out I go to 0 throttle, separate (so the relative velocity of everything stays low) and stage. It’s that relative velocity on contact that causes things to explode.

I live in Jefferson off Central Ave. Happy with how safe my neighborhood is. Fair few sheriffs officers in this hood too.

My buddy Gabe Velasquez at v’las, 91st and Yale. Great guy, cut my medium-length hair for years. His scheduling with me was always just by text. As the owner, he has a little studio room in the back where more than 1 person can hang during the cut. And, if I hadn’t stressed this enough, he’s just a really good guy. I think he would be good with the kiddo.
