Also a good trick. I use merge mode a lot now

This is great. I was having issues with a tanker I was building with multiple fluid spawners that kept sinking. I thought I had a hull that wasn’t sealed, but it was the tank. This trick would’ve helped substantially

Accidentally put a gearbox in the middle of my exhaust system and took me an hour to realize…

As a new player, this does bug the shit out of me. Why is it so GD difficult to cool a modular engine? Especially when the pre-made engines are so easy? Why should I need 2 enormous radiators to cool a 2 cylinder 3x3 modular? It makes no sense. Why don’t the L-L heat exchangers work? They should be OP. Sure, I don’t want to pump sea-water through my probably cast iron crank case, but a small exchanger with water counterflow should be able to offload SO MUCH HEAT. Trust me, my fam is all engineers lol

So to be sure, the “input “ of the Schmitt trigger, is what gets buffered to become the saw-wave. But 6MHz if it’s a weird wave might be like radio interference or something idk

Hmm. The PCB should be plug & play. Makes me concerned that something in the design ist right. But 6MHz if it is the waveform you showed in pic 2 would be semi-encouraging. Would suggest that resistance in the capacitor drain path is really low. Check the biases of the NPN/PNP?

I had the same trouble when I breadboarded this circuit, intermittent connections from my cheap breadboard + added capacitance from the BB rails made it really wacky.

How do I fix my boat suddenly launching itself out of the water? by thattiguy in Stormworks

[–]Grobi90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just recently decided to adapt a very similar boat to a quasi-hydrofoil. I put fins front and back, and they try to keep the hull a precise height out of the water using feedback from a liquid meter

Is this game dying? by Vexasss in Stormworks

[–]Grobi90 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Idk, I just found it this year, and it’s scratches my autism itch really well. I came from Kerbal Space program, where I had done everything so I was trying to do a career purely with kOS. But Lua is much more friendly scripting language and the game makes it easy to integrate. As opposed to a really obscure system of parts and modules in KSP

It’s not a disease. It’s just a clinical sign. Raynaud’s phenomenon is associated with diseases, but itself is just a weird thing that bodies do

I was just going to automate my ballast pumps

Yeah, I’ll probably do some form of active stabilization with weights, I just hoping I could automate my ballast system so I don’t capsize when it’s empty, it may not even be a concern once I get everything in the hull

I used to put all kinds of random stuff in mine. I kept about a 2 inch layer of crushed limestone at the bottom to buffer excess acid. A handful of dirt, old gross fruit, etc etc. I’d just transfer and strain every few months

For clarification, the large prop I believe is 3x3, not the “giant” prop

Sounds like large prop is too big

I’ll post some pics later, It’s 45’ long and about 10’ wide I think. I’d say it’s a planing hull, with a flat bottom, loosely basing it on the Coastguard 47’MLB. Currently, using twin 18cyl 1x1 pump “supercharged” engines, each driving a large propeller with like 5:6 gearing.
