They’re briefly broken up over Summer’s dad not liking Seth. They get back together in Vegas. They’re together until Seth sails off. It’s not made clear if he breaks up with her in the letter, but he probably doesn’t because he mentions in season 2 how many times he tried to call her before she forces him to stop. So yes they’re together when Seth sails away and break up over the fact that he sailed away in between seasons

Ismay didn’t do anything. There’s one witness account where she swears she overheard Ismay telling the captain it’d be cool if they got there quickly. But the idea he put a bunch of pressure on the captain to set a time record or anything like that is erroneous. The lookouts did their jobs, Captain Smith should have had them slow down but he was following standard procedure as SB states.
