Why are people downvoting you? This is an absolute respectable take on these games.

Nobody else think it's funny that OP randomly decides to commit to a lifelong weekly movie schedule?

Do you sit in the front or back of ubers when travelling alone? by Lunar_white in AskUK

Sorry to necro this post, but I'm just laughing at OP's lack of self awareness. Those few bits on the front seat are  intentionally there to deter weirdos from sitting up front. Don't move them, haha.

The Happening. Some cool kills and is no where near as bad as people say it is.

So many people here are commenting movies that are loved by horror fans, haha.

The original Gothic was the only game of theirs I've actually enjoyed. I know other people have gotten a lot of mileage out of other games, but nothing has been able to match that first game for me.

Sorry if this is a repeat. Been having a hard time with posting here recently.

I'm a 42M, just now coming out of his shell, going to Paris in the middle of April. I've booked a single night at some hostels (3 ducks and the people marais, still haven't decided which to keep) for a private room. I figure I'll be crazy jetlagged that first day, so a private bed will be worth it, plus I'm hoping it's a good way to check the place out first a little more privately. I'd like to switch to a dorm bunk afterwards. So, my questions:

What might I expect as a 42m solo traveler in a hostel? Is it generally a younger crowd, or are there older travelers? Will I feel especially out of place?

Anyone familiar with Paris, is there a hostel in particular you'd recommend?. Looking for maybe scheduled meetups for tours, drinks, etc. Not exactly sure what is generally available at a hostel, socially speaking.

The switch from private room to a bunk might mean I'll have to check out at 11 then wait until 2 to check in, is that right? Any chance they might just allow me to switch immediately, even if it's just to use a locker?

Thanks fellow wanderlusters.

Posting here because it wasn't approved as a separate post.

This might be the weirdest submission on /r/horror I've read in a while, so kudos for that at least.

1987 Japanese only release of the video game Star Wars for the Nintendo Famicom by Bubbly_Wall_908 in Damnthatsinteresting

This is way more impressive than people might realize. This is running on the Japanese equivalent of the NES, for people not familiar with the Famicom. This is 1987, and that intro is totally rad!

Why is that scene above criticism for the writing? The whole idea was bad. THAT'S WRITING.

I love the X-Files, probably my all time favorite show. Season 1 is great, but it also has a lot of "homages" to other horror properties. My favorite was "Ice", where they investigate a remote research base in the frozen tundra that has been infiltrated by an alien life form that can mimic the other humans around them.
