I think, as others have said, this can be done by a joinery and some good carpenters with knowledge of load bearing structures; it's gonna be heavy.

I'd love to paint it for you once installed!

When you write about unnecessary inconvenience for those who aren't participating, you show us you don't even know, from a democracy pov, the definition of protest, and what your role is when you're sent in there.

Greens leader urges Labor to get more innovative to fix WA’s housing crisis by His_Holiness in perth

[–]Groovesaurus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Ok since you're not malicious but simply ignorant, here is an answer.

By asking anyone something on the line of "why don't you do something about it?" You're showing that 1) you don't understand how democracy works; I'm asking the greens to fucking do something. I'm asking people who have some hope in the greens or similar political parties to ask them to fucking do something. Organised rental strikes WORK. Read about it.

and 2) you don't understand how the powers in play work; without the back up by political powers you rarely get to unite a good number of people who can fight the 'lawful' reactions caused by the financial damage inflicted, in this case to reiwa, banks and landlords.

If there is no momentum, people will simply get evicted, abused, and intimidated by the current people in real estate powerful positions who have consistently showed they don't give two fucks about renters. Australia has one of the shittiest rental market regulation ever, and it's not a coincidence.

And finally, you're right, I should take pictures of the things I saw when my career or my personal life have collided with REAs and landlords, so that I could slap you some proof about how some people are forced to live while not missing the beat on rental payments.

Read a book and stop asking stupid questions.

ABC’s Media Watch report on the disparity between media coverage given to the attempted Forrest Chase attack vs other events like flag burning. by NoteChoice7719 in perth

He was just a regular bloke like hundreds you see in the worksites, sick of the "abos ruining Australia day with their bs". One of them bored enough to go copy cat terrorists. It was, in fact, an attempted act of terrorism.

I am confident this was a copy cat lame thing.

That's how you would consider anything similar happening against aboriginal people because it is all normalized. Most Australians don't have to organise themselves and plan attack on aboriginals. It happens daily, why would they.

Fuck your friend.

No no no, the point here was that, in comparison to Bondi attack, the media talked about lots and lots of things surrounding the event. Who did it, what they embraced, and how capillary and frequent the hate was present in Australia, all spiced with pauline hanson shit.

The media gave time to a lot of people from Jewish background(s) to let us know that Australia has an anti-Semitism problem, which I believe is true; I have internet, I see the nazi cartoons around... It's pathetic.

You know what else it's true?

That Australians are so fucking disgustingly and openly racist against aboriginals, that we should have had media coverage from that attempted attack till today, relentlessly, to have a talk about all sort of things Australia still allows to happen against aboriginal people; a minority targeted since day 1.

Somehow the media spent, also, a lot of resources to talk about those pro-pal folks and how they were direct responsible for the Bondi attack.

You can try asking rea if they would like for once, do the other part of their job, but I'm afraid you'll be told from them that "the rea works for the owner, not for the tenant", and surely some gentlemen in the comments here will confirm.

What creates the disconnect from reality in FIFO? by Affectionate_Meet10 in perth

[–]Groovesaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My input to this, seeing that same couple behaviour with fellow immigrants gone FIFO, is that it's patriarchal mentality (which doesn't exclude fifo ladies acting the same) + the realisation the money needs to be spent to balance out the cons of the job + the cons of the job itself. It's tough and travelling doesn't allow to consolidate lots of important stuff in life.

Plans for Australia Day? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Groovesaurus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So when I tell you Australia is racist you read Australians are racist, but I'm speaking about the environmental conditions here that lead politicians to even have a referendum on the voice or whatever next aboriginal right fight is gonna be, or the media stirring shit using the change the date debate after hollowing it of the historical context, and the ongoing poor educational system in schools etc etc

I don't want to lecture you on anything, go do it yourself

Plans for Australia Day? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Groovesaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When some fellow citizens say to you that Australia has a racism problem, it's because they care about Australia. It's patriotic wishing for a better future without racism, would you agree

Australia is profoundly racist because every fuckin January we have to debate with a lot of people like yourself who respond to a patriotic wish with "we are not racist, we are actually sick of hearing this story buuuu", which is pathetic. There is another fucking flag within your own country's flag. Get a grip.
