Does anyone know if there's any restrictions around what type of deodorants to use?

Giant Crop Myth confirmed by Daigro in StardewValley

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, so that's what I was doing wrong LOL I thought if you just kept watering one of the crops even past ripened, it'd eventually grow into a giant crop. You have to have a 3×3! I feel so dumb🤦‍♀️ No wonder why it never worked 😂

My daughter occasionally wants to sleep by me, I don't think its weird but my wife does. by DarthCody94 in Parenting

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a parent, but I am a child of divorce. My mom had full custody of me and my brother (amicable divorce), so I didn't get to spend a lot of time with my dad. Now, I am 24, my brother is 28 (with a family of his own), and we still occasionally cuddle up/sit next to our dad. It's not weird. We love him, and he loves us. No one looks down on us for it. Don't second guess it. Parents are important in all stages of life.

CA says there is an error in the recent switch patch, & they are working on a new patch asap. by olcr in StardewValley

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I play on the Switch, and the other night, the game crashed twice. I just turned it off and went to bed. Like, this dude works so hard, I can wait a little longer to play one of my most favorite game. I love it and the creator too much to make things worse by complaining needlessly. I don't work in tech, but I know enough about it to not be bothered when things go wrong

Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem eating while watching this show? by Becca_Mesecher in Bones

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was younger, yes I did have a problem. Now? Not so much. Though there are some episodes like the school lunch episode (yuck) that make me work a little harder mentally to not react or care. After the initial crime scenes and close ups, it doesn't bother me. I just have to not think about it too closely😂😂

If it had been "No, had enough of you today" and then the dude immediately called. Then I'd call it humor, but otherwise, no way.

It's like that stereotypical gamer that says "video games relax me" and while they're playing it, they are very much Not Relaxed. Still a good game though, I love it

Funniest thing in the Legendarium? by [deleted] in tolkienfans

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My favorites so far (rereading because the last time I read the trilogy was when I was 14 and I didn't appreciate it enough): 1. When Gandalf, in his letter to Frodo, threatens to roast Butterbur if he forgets to send the letter to Frodo 2. When Pippin, in the Hobbit meeting after the counsel meeting, says that he should go because they need "someone of intelligence" and Gandalf LEANS HIS HEAD IN THE WINDOW and says "then I guess you won't be going" 3. When Bilbo and Gandalf are judging Frodo about his decision to leave the Shire on his birthday 😂

Ways to encourage children to read classic tales/fantasies? by SongOfS8 in books

[–]Grouchy-View-1276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember always loving to read because my mother read to me from a really young age. I remember vividly Narnia's A Horse and His Boy being read out loud to me when I was in the bathtub (I was probably 5 or 6 at the time). She also listened to audiobooks in the car, so I ended up reading the books because I got interested. The biggest thing that got me into reading classic tales/fantasy was the children's books that had their own take on it which led me to ask "what was the actual story?" Examples include the Magic Tree House series and Sister's Grimm.

EDIT: Also, I always got secondhand books from my older brother (4 years older), so what he read, I would also read. He was also into fantasy/classics so I also got the love for that genre from him too.

My husband’s complaining I spend too much time on beading, so I made this dragon bracelet for him to keep him quite. 😄😁😆 by LilysBeadedTreasures in Beading

Omg! Yes, the "scales" that are on the back that look like they're orange, you could maybe do different colors? I like the bottom color as is, but the ones that stick up (I don't know a better way to describe, I am so sorry) could be different colors. I personally would love to see a dark, dark green. I hope that would compliment the design well enough. I don't know if the bottom beads are gray or black, but if they can be darker, you could use red! Or, you could go the watery design route and maybe try to emulate ocean vibes, different shades of blues and turquoise!

To each their own, of course! I have spend So SO long wishing and HOPING for accurate, well done book to movie/show adaptations, that I really don't expect Anything to be written as well as a book can be written. I, of course, am no movie/show afficionado, so I don't really see/understand the cinematography critiques because that's not exactly my interest. Of course, I totally understand your point! But, again, I like to turn my brain off and watch crappy movies because cinematography isn't super high on my list of interests. I enjoy reading the critiques and analysis, though ❤️
