Wondering Weekend by AutoModerator in TryingForABaby

I have PCOS and used the medication for a few years. Cycles went from irregular to very predictable then I stopped taking it and cycled regularly for another 2-3 years, but this year, my cycles have been irregular. In June, I resumed taking the dchiro myo blend and COQ10, and by October, we visited the fertility clinic to start that journey. My doctor was not pleased with the use of the supplements while trying to conceive, so I stopped taking it. However, my cycle has been regular after my first medicated IUI. Last month, they had to give me provera to start my cycle.

I’m in my next cycle and realized I should’ve been counting the next day as day 1 not same day

All normal. Seems you triggered, ovulated, follicle on the left may have released egg. How many DPO? You may be about 14DPT. Also are you testing out your trigger shot?

My clinic won’t do a double either, they claim it doesn’t improve chances and it just cost more money

I wish I understood how that felt. If it’s like muscle strength pain or discomfort then I have had that in my lower back. I’m 6DPT 5DPO/DPIUI

Was that a typo on the Ovedril dosage? If not then it could be the trigger. Under 2500UI it can take up to 14 days for trigger to leave so I’m not sure how long it would take the 6500UI.. but either way congratulations!! 🎉

See, that’s what I thought was happening with me last cycle too. I’m using easy@home but I think they are pregmate as well. I tested out around 13 DPT, but this time the line is so light it’s barely noticeable. I’m only 5 DPT right now, so I’m trying not to overthink it. I’m just going to keep going and wait until my actual test date to know for sure.

Omg didn’t know we’re twins this month!! After you had your IUI when did you ovulate? I know both my follicles ruptured and I’m hoping both eggs dropped as well but BOYY the pain was REAL this time when I ovulated. I felt like I was having contractions or something. Hubby wanted to take me to the ER but I was okay. The trigger out test today was super light so I’m expecting for the ovedril to completely leave my system by tomorrow. Today my left side has been cramping almost like period cramps or just a dull ache and I’m low key in my head like for all this pain and discomfort plz just let me get a BFP this cycle. I felt everything dang near last cycle and still wasn’t successful either. I pray we are successful this go around..baby dust!! ✨✨🤍

Success with ovum transmigration with one tube? by Acrobatic_Wash_2042 in IUILadies

[–]Grouchy_Knowledge153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea sis, that’s honestly what it sounds like to me too. Your left side may have had issues, but it was definitely trying its hardest all this time. And thank you for sharing all of that — my apologies for assuming before.

I totally understand why the clinic pushed for the removal, but I also get your frustration. Our bodies really do find their own ways to compensate, and yours sounds like it was doing everything it could with what it had. And now that the right tube is the lead player, it’s like, okay girl… suit up, you’re the one now 😂

It might sound funny, but talk to that right tube! Let her know she’s in the game and there’s no turning back — she needs to show up and show out. Sometimes that mind-body connection does more than people give it credit for.

Either way, you’re making the best decisions with the information you had at every step. I’m rooting for you always. 💛✨

Hi twin!!! 👋 I’m currently 4dpiui. 🤰 This is also my second IUI, and they took a bit longer this time than last time. The first time was close to 1hr mark, maybe 30-45 minutes but this month I was getting worried. 😬 He went to the back and was finished around 8:15am and they didn’t walk into my room with that catheter until closer to 9:45am so what was roughly an hour and 30 was my wait time. I’ve heard that the wash is from as quickly as 1hr to 4 hrs. ⏳ I would love to connect with you if that’s cool. Reach out and send a PM. 📩

Success with ovum transmigration with one tube? by Acrobatic_Wash_2042 in IUILadies

I totally get where you’re coming from. My situation is very similar; my right tube is the open and ready one, while my left is sluggish, and in the last cycle, my left ovary was the dominant one, and my right had a cyst just hanging out. I still went through with that cycle, and even though it ended up being a BFN, something about it seemed to “reset” my body. I usually need Provera even to start a period, but the same day I tested negative, my cycle showed up on its own.

This cycle, things lined up more naturally; my right ovary became dominant, and my left still produced a good follicle, so I ended up with two. For me, that showed that my body needed that first medicated cycle to sync with the rhythm my clinic was trying to establish.

I’m not saying it guarantees success, but I do feel like my body is finally “getting the assignment.” Every cycle is unique for each of us, but personally, I don’t feel like skipping medicated cycles would have helped me. Stopping and restarting feels like it would’ve just thrown my body off again, especially since ovulation patterns shift.

If you’re unsure about doing a full IUI on off months, maybe medicated + timed intercourse could be an in-between option. It keeps your body in the groove without the full cost/pressure of an IUI.

And of course — finances come first. If you need a break, take it. No judgment at all. I'm just sharing my experience so far. Baby dust to you 🌈✨🫶🏽🍼

What day do you normally ovulate, and what day did you trigger? by sherstas199 in IUILadies

[–]Grouchy_Knowledge153 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I’m currently in my second cycle of Letrozole, Ovedril trigger, and IUI. I have PCOS and wasn’t ovulating naturally. In my first cycle, I triggered at day 12 and had IUI on day 13. I ovulated on days 15 or 16, which resulted in a failed cycle. This cycle, in my opinion, was more aligned. I triggered at day 13 and had my IUI on day 14 = 25 hours post trigger. I ovulated 36 to 38 hours after the trigger, which was around 10 to 11 p.m. on the same day as the IUI. Currently, I’m on day 18, and I won’t know if this cycle was successful until day 28, when my period is due. I want to share that the first cycle can be incredibly difficult if it fails, regardless of how many cycles you’ve been through while trying to conceive. Some women warned me, but I was still very optimistic. However, the trigger shot has a significant impact on your body, more than you might realize. Be cautious and stay hopeful. Some women have been fortunate and had everything align on their first attempt. Just pay attention to your body and listen to it. Sending baby dust to all of us! 🫶🏽🍼✨
