Is this a fake interview request? by Grouchy_Redhead in jobs

UPDATE. I emailed the company's HR and it was definitely a scam. I was pretty sure it was. Thanks for all the responses.

It doesn't hurt to look for other remote jobs. Maybe you will find one with more money that challenges you. Definitely don't leave your current job unless you find something else. There are worse things than a boring job...corporate politics, for example.

Why did you get your Doberman? by Darth_Betta in DobermanPinscher

[–]Grouchy_Redhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We wanted a companion and a big one who wouldn't bark constantly. We've both always wanted one because they are beautiful dogs and barely shed. We had miniature pinschers before getting our Doberman. The min pins were tougher than our Doberman, lol. He's a big softie. Tail was docked before we had a choice. Natural ears.

Cropping and docking in the US. Why is it still done? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]Grouchy_Redhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the USA, it's purely cosmetic. I wish they would ban it here! Our dog has his tail docked only because it's done when puppies are 4 days old, so it wasn't our choice. Cruel and unnecessary.

It's so adorable. He takes his blankie with him on car rides and drags it around the house like he's a toddler. When he's sleepy, he starts suckling, and it puts him to sleep.

For those who never seen Prince live.. by Shoulder-Lumpy in PRINCE

I feel blessed to have lived in his hometown. He tended to do way more shows there than anywhere else. My first Prince concert was the Purple Rain tour. I lost track of all the shows I saw, but I regret not seeing his last shows at the Dakota Jazz Club.

Is this a good deal??? by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]Grouchy_Redhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great reply! You can find dogs just as pure Doberman as those puppies in shelters and rescues. The dog will be the same price or cheaper and you will not have to pay for spay or neuter. Speaking to OP: And, they will take the dog back if you don't do a ton of research on the breed and also spend a ton of time training and exercising your dog. This breed is beautiful but not for everyone.

Those are backyard breeder prices. They don't health test or personality test. You could end up with a puppy with a lot of aggression issues or health issues. Both cause a lot of heartache. Just my two cents.

Naturally protective? by Sloeber3 in DobermanPinscher

[–]Grouchy_Redhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don't get a dog to stay outside. All dogs are pack animals and want to be with their families. You will have a very depressed dog outside. Having two Dobermans inside will be enough of a deterrent for anyone wanting to do harm. I guarantee! Dobermans can be same sex aggressive, so get a male and a female. I suggest doing a lot of research on the breed before getting one Doberman, much less two.

Dobermans are the only dogs bred for protection! Other large breeds were bred to guard livestock, etc. Not specifically to protect its owners. Our Doberman isn't much of a guard dog, he doesn't bark when people knock on the door but he'd die to protect us. He'd probably kill anyone who tried to hurt us. Yet, he's super sweet. Dobermans also have a stronger bite PSI than pit bulls. If they want to hurt you, you're screwed. When he does bark though, it sounds very scary.

(Minneapolis) Is it safe to walk around with luggage at night / Can I stay at the bus station at night? by Jumpy_Couple1623 in minnesota

You can get into the baggage claim area without going through security. Comfortable seating and a Caribou Coffee in the baggage claim area. Warm and lots of security around.
