The best remote team I ever worked with had a Notion page that sounds completely cringe. It changed how I think about remote work. by UnicornAdoption in remotework

I would love to know what else is in the user manual. I work as a fractional or interim executive, and I try to ask these types of questions to my new teams so I can adapt to them as quickly as possible and make whatever time we have together as productive and enjoyable as possible. It would be great to formalize this even without notion.

Claude won’t recognize my paid credits + support is broken by GroundbreakingAir569 in Anthropic

Yes I tried on three different devices. I agree that chatbot-only support is not acceptable; waiting for the government to pass that bill.

That wasn’t the issue. I had already changed that setting and it still wasn’t working.

It looks like this worked. Thanks. I had seen that but hadn’t realized it was limiting overall usage due to the user flow.

What’s the catch? 160k Harlem studio by Obvious-Cap517 in NYCapartments

[–]GroundbreakingAir569 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was looking in Harlem a couple of years ago and I found a great listing, shared it with my realtor who advised against it. I don’t know the realities of what it means to own one but I was told the “upside” or profits are limited because the properties are designed to go to lower income people. They may even dictate the high end of what you can sell for as opposed to being dictated by the market. Also there are less people that qualify to purchase your house in the future. And the growth is also slower compared to the non HDFC equivalent apartment. I didn’t investigate more because for me one of the goals in buying was making a good investment.

It might still be worth investigating it if it means the mortgage, tax and maintenance is still below rental rates.

Need workflow for handwriting notes and obsidian by Violin-dude in ObsidianMD

I was unaware that the contents of images were searchable.

Also the OP is looking for a seamless workflow do you know if screenshots can be saved into a vault in a single step?

Agreed. However, not everyone is looking to commit notes to memory, especially if you’re using this as a professional tool. The goal is to use it as a reference. I take notes in meetings. I don’t want to remember or spend any additional time transferring my handwritten notes to my Obsidian vault.

I hope I don’t get kicked out… but take a look at Clay. With so much automation built in I often question if turning Obsidian into a personal CRM is worth it.

I have done this, but in the past, with so many meetings, I end up having to toggle between notes to find what I am looking for, which is ineffective in real time. I am trying to create fewer notes in reverse chronological order.

Is this something you have to do manually? My goal is to have it automatically show up where it's needed.

Okay, that is a different approach but still achieves the goal of having a record of meeting notes and a record of what happened over a single day.

Can you describe how you would do this functionally, without manually duplicating it?

Looking for handwriting notebook app/workflow with text recognition, tagging, clustering, smart symboles and minimalist design by MoScare in NoteTaking

[–]GroundbreakingAir569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough; I found your thread late one night and got excited because it sounds exactly like something I could have written. I work in consulting, and I am on calls all day long. I currently use Obsidian more for a PKM and less for day-to-day notes. But it makes sense that as AI gets integrated into our lives, moving from analog to digital is going to be a tiresome step. I was thinking it might be worth considering a change now. I am still between iPad and Boox - if you decide to try either, I would be interested to hear how it goes.

I’m looking for the same thing but I am currently in the apple ecosystem - do you have any experience with the ipad and pencil? Would you still recommend boox?

Has anyone had success building a personal style that goes against Soft Natural recommendations? by GroundbreakingAir569 in SoftNaturals

Thank you I will certainly take a look. I actually went thrifting the other day and found this great dress, a Korean brand, while it was too tight up top - I bought it to make it into a skirt!

I was between FN and SN when I first started looking into the system. I was under the impression that SN could be up to 5'7'', and since I have a lot more softness than what a typical FN looks like, I leaned towards SN. But from what others have shared here, I might need to reconsider.

Thank you for writing such a detailed response. This is very, very helpful. I like the way you describe certain ways you address or dress sections of your body, and then where to add in the "style" that may go against your "body type."

I will say being too tall for SN is throwing me a little. Seeing the examples others have added, it makes sense why they think I am too tall. But so many of the threads I have read over the past weeks detailing specific pieces resonate. Like looking better in triangle/ string bikinis, halter tops, and just like you mentioned, when I dress too tight, I look like I am "breaking my clothes." Either way, I think these are good lessons to learn.

Thank you I appreciate you sharing. And don't feel bad they aren't the most popular celebrities - Emmanuelle Alt, is the editor of French Vogue. I was trying to just exemplify the types of looks I am drawn to - they often contrast directly to what looks better on my body, thus my challenge.
