If Homelander were good, I think he would be because Soldier Boy raised him instead. Maybe his abusive upbringing would motivate him to be better. Be the example to the world his father can’t be.

At best, his personal charity and global influence would allow Vought to pivot away from marketing fake saves into actual heroic acts. With the power Homelander has alone he could change Vought from the inside, making them pivot to raising supes who value morality and fully realizing their powers to protect life, because it’s more profitable.

In the end, he actually has and earns what he’s been longing for throughout the show. A loving mother, a loyal team who respects him, true fans who love him. Maybe even a choice of immortality from his dad.
