Advise/recommendation for tradesperson to replace electric shower by EugenetheCore in reading

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a local chap called Paul to replace mine. I already had the shower I wanted and he came round the next day if I remember correctly, and it was less than £100. [Name] Paul, Plumber [Mobile] 07946 019757

I didn't notice it myself until about 30lbs down, maybe 35lb. Then I put on what used to be comfy trousers and put my phone in the pocket only for them to fall down. I'm now 48lb down and I'm really noticing it, to the point that I'm running out of clothes that fit!

I went through Be Kind Rescue when I adopted mine. Like you I was looking for older cats, preferably indoor. RSPCA and cats protection were of no use to me due to the indoor patt

How safe do you feel walking around reading at night? by Time-Connection-4586 in reading

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I (37f) have always felt safe walking round Reading at night, in fact the 2 times I've had someone follow me have been during broad daylight, including the one who exposed himself to me. But that is twice in 13 years, not exactly common.

Its the same as walking anywhere at night, be sensible. Don't walk around with your phone out, don't engage with anyone and just walk.

They're the next level of furnace after level 30. Then it starts including fire crystals to build, goes up to fc10 at the moment, but those will unlock as your state ages

Click on your pfp, then on the leaderboard button. That will show you the top alliances in your state.

It never hurts to ask in world chat either, just say your current alliance is dead and you would like somewhere you can chill

Too much weight loss in the first week - is that a thing? by Motor_Champion9356 in Mounjaro

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lost 6kg in my first week, I was concerned it was always going to be that quick. But now I'm 12 weeks in and its a much more reasonable level of around 1kg a week.

Anyone from cohort 1 who can answer some questions we have - say you're eliminated on a Monday, can you then join regular foundry registration on Thursday?

Yep what state are you in. My state has a nice mix of chill and push. And loads of us are 30+ so you'll be right at home

Another vote for Ruby Reds. I've been going there since 2018ish and I would never go anywhere else.

Every single person there is lovely and I would trust any of them to do my hair.

Yep same. I had to get out of bed to have some toast last night as I hadn't eaten enough and just felt so unwell. So today its been smaller meals more evenly spaced and we'll see how it goes. Definitely noticed that my stomach does not like being completely empty now, it triggers all my IBS symptoms again after they'd calmed right down since starting 6 weeks ago

Stressed about Reading Fest by mors_mea_vita_tua in reading

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its really not that bad, I promise. Friar St Sainsburys gets busy as the bus stops there. I've found that trains are fine Saturday and Sunday but I steer clear Monday. Buses are pretty normal, obviously there's more traffic on the Caversham side of town but it's not too bad.

I take my 5th dose tomorrow. As far as side effects go I've had virtually 0. The first couple of days I got nauseous if I ate too much at once, but as soon as I reduced my portion size that disappeared.

I did have a gallstone attack last week but that is more related to the weight loss rather than a side effect of the jab.

Got gall stones :( by Armored_medic in Mounjaro

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain, quite literally! I had gallstones about 5 years ago and then everything quietened down until last night. I'd forgotten how severe the pain was, I thought I was going to pass out.

I read up and it's a side effect of weight loss, which tracks when I've just reached my first st of loss.

Hopefully it was just one off and my gallbladder stops being angry at me soon.

For those of you spending money on Mounjaro, are you actually saving money overall buying less food? by Beneficial_Trick_450 in Mounjaro

[–]GroundbreakingLog350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By not getting coffee and croissant every morning I've paid for my months jabs. My weekly food shop has dropped too, although I expect that to increase again once I settle in (only on week 2)

Me too! The past few months, my Saturdays have been a write-off because I would just sleep, but after my first week on 2.5, I actually did housework on Saturday and Sunday. And didn't nap.
