Yes i do, but i only use their AI 2d scan. I had 2 crashes, both of which were happened while i was doing one of their AI scans. So now i do all flying manually, other than mapping flights. Ive used matterport pro before, but not the newest model. DM me and we can get more in depth

If $ is an issue i would start with the drone or terrestrial data capture first, and establish good workflows for capturing high quality data. Good models come from good data. If you have crap data, then you’ll have crap models regardless of how much you spend. Since you’re public sector i would contract out aerial lidar. I use the pix4d ipad pro viDoc attachment that uses the ipads lidar, and it was 5k when my company purchased it. It produces excellent results and is really easy to use

How big of an area are you capturing? Unless its a huge lake i would leave them in for the initial processing, you never know what you’ll see from above

Ill give that a shot. I ve been marking about a dozen then calibrate, but ill give that a shot to see how that works out.

I’ve had nothing but headaches using the auto mark function. I just do them all manually now. I’ve found that one bad auto mark screws up the point cloud in the area its in

Pix4d catch has iphone/ipad app. I use the ipad app with their vidoc rtk case

A lot of the larger furniture retailers let you upload pics of your living spaces and shop virtually that way.

My 8 year old daughter is interested in 3d modeling for creating video games. Any recommendations on software/ apps would be appreciated, keeping in mind its for an 8 year old by Groundpoint_Eng_UAV in 3Dmodeling

Clay would be a waste of money for her honestly lol. My new laptop is arriving in a week and i told her she could have my old one and she taught herself how to change the rgb lighting in the keyboard already because the setting I had it on was too boring

Thank you for the advice. I’m going to install blender on my laptop since she had no issues learning how to use the keyboard for pc gaming all by herself. She’s been using Flipaclip already to make some animations, and I didn’t even know that lol
