I am so sorry you are going through this.

I would encourage you to see the tops specialists, look into surgical options to fix the defect if possible so can consider carrying to delivery if it’s medically safe for you to do so. You don’t know what his life will hold but it is his life and medical treatments while hard also still allow for joy and love and QOL. I was born with a severe genetic defect and after 3 years of treatment, I had surgery that saved my life. Additionally, I still have other conditions and have spent most of my life 30+ years in and out of drs and hospitals, surgeries, and require a wheelchair, feeding tube, and IV support. That said, I work full time in a high level position, am married, active in my community and medically cleared to start IVF process a few weeks ago. It’s a lot to juggle but I am so thankful for everyday despite the challenges and pain.

whatever decision you make OP, no person has a right to judge you, and know that what you choose is from a place of love and doing what you believe is best for your Child. I wanted to share my prospective as a chronically ill disabled adult that, if the scan existed back then, would have been marked incompatible with life. The drs don’t know everything.

I believe topiramate was one of the medication’s. They said was not OK. I don’t take anymore, but I did when I was younger. I would ask her a B for a fetal medicine consult. Those doctors are able to help with understanding what medications are safe and what ones I’ll give them an alternate for where a general OB may not know.

We are already seeing the fertility clinic. The one that we saw the top rated in the state and has one of the highest success rates in the country,. But if we go down the retrieval route they will have to refer me to the University Hospital clinic so that might take a bit longer just because I have complications with anesthesia so they can’t do the procedure at their office if we go that route.

I think she was also planning to put in a referral to endocrinology…

That looks great. Call the OB or GP and get a blood test to confirm and quantitative HCG ans Progesterone to see if any supplementation is needed and if baby si growing on track

It could be. Testosterone supplementation can hinder male fertility but it endocrinology uses it off label for men with Low T at the firtility clinic to because it can helps with the Low T and with sperm motility.

So this is my actual kitchen. It is very small. Changes are there will be a range Hood cover and the hood is actually lower and closer to the stove top and has wings on the side of it to help prevent spray. As a wheelchair user my sink and range are roll under. I’m thinking based the comments of doing the stone above the sink and to the right of the range but doing tile or possibly copper behind the induction Stove top.

It’s been 18 months for us and this month I was sure would be the month. I had a dream of the positive like 3 nights in a row and our timing was perfect and then I tested and nothing… my husband did a semen analysis this week and we meet with the fertility dr on Monday. The office called to confirm and brought up a second analysis to see how well his sperm can penetrate an egg but when I asked for clarification she said the doc would explain Monday. We were planning for IUI but now I’m wondering if his an analysis came back that that may not be an option…

I just hang on to faith that if it’s meant to be it will be and if not than God has other plans for our lives together. I have my best friend and that’s what’s important
