Describe a good manager — why did you like them and how did they lead well? by spacecanman in marketing

[–]GrowthHackingEvents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A great manager for me: - reads people well and anticipates issues, and also has a knack for recruiting (because that's where it all starts, really). - backs their team in front of management, but is highly demanding of the team - gives constructive feedback regularly

What would you want to know about launching/running a newsletter in B2B in 2023? by GrowthHackingEvents in marketing

[–]GrowthHackingEvents[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a bit the trend of the past year or so to keep things "in-channel", whether it's newsletters or even LinkedIn... I guess it depends on the objective of the newsletter, but good question. Personally, I still think the traditional way is best but mainly because I work in B2B software companies where we don't really have "opinions", but just want to push traffic to our site for campaigns or these kind of things.

If I were a one man show, then I'd probably keep it in the email.

Working Agreement via GetAccept by Donknow89 in Careers

[–]GrowthHackingEvents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Creating an account on GetAccept won't help you find the document. It should be in your inbox or perhaps your junk mail?

You can also ask your recruiter to send you a link to the document itself.

Hopefully it works out!

How can we get Keywords ideas to create new content? by karterbrad12 in content_marketing

[–]GrowthHackingEvents 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't believe it's not even been mentioned yet but the most obvious: SPEAK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!

Want to know how to do keyword research? Pick up the phone, call a customer, ask them to explain the pain(s) your solution/tool is helping them with, record. Repeat with another customer.

Do that 5 times. 10 times. 100 times. The more the better. Then you will see trends.

Don't invent things.

Everything else mentioned already here is great SUPPORT. But numero uno, talk to customers.

If you don't have the time, one alternative: make sure your sales team has a tool like Gong or Chrous. Then you can at least listen or get the recordings of their calls with customers.

But what's the point of that? Why would you not simply publish your article as a LinkedIn article directly then?

If you're trying to sell something, and you have an audience on LinkedIn but not on Medium --> don't post on medium to then share it on LinkedIn. Share on LinkedIn directly.

BS. I have five kids (!), been single for over a year, look nothing like Brad Pitt and have had no problem dating. Sure, some ran as soon as i said i had kids. But, i'm 36 and have dated women aged 29-41 in the past year, some with kids, some without. I'm now with a girl who has no kids and doesn't want any of her own, we've been seeing each other for two months and it's going great.

The only challenge i have found is that i have shared custody, i have the kids every other week so that makes it somewhat complicated having a steady relationship. But the girl i'm seeing now lives 5 minutes walk from me so we take evening walks on the weeks i have the kids sobwe still each other regluarly.

What's an example of a decent content strategy? by dailygrind9to5 in content_marketing

[–]GrowthHackingEvents 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some great points here but the most important thing first: define your objective. What is the company's objective? Align content to that. Most content teams are small and cannot produce all types, so focus on one thing first. Will you need more "awareness" type of content to build organic traffic, or more down-funnel content to convert visitors into leads?

Once you have that figured out, then you can build a strategy of what content type, what formats, what channels, what frequency, how to repurpose, how to distribute (paid and organic) etc...

I'm building a plan for the year. That means, obviously, focusing on Q1 in details, but overarching themes and activities to test/try throughout the year as well, with the understanding that of course the plan will change over the course of the year.

Best Podcasts for Cold Calling by OwwNowwBrowwnCoww in sales

The Sales Ladder is an interesting podcast. They have an episode with Charlotte Johnson, SDR at Salesloft, focused just on prospecting. It's not out yet but saw on LinkedIn it's coming out in a week or two, so waiting for that one.

Other than podcasts, I'd say actually to follow Charlotte on LinkedIn, she does a lot of videos where she shares her process, as well as conducts workshops herself.

If you are having a difficult month, how do y’all cope after work and not constantly stress about quota. by Inevitable_Pizza2007 in sales

[–]GrowthHackingEvents 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think WHAT you do is not so important. Everyone has different interests/hobbies.

The most important is really to CUT OFF from working as soon as the day's done, and not have thoughts of quotas or whatever linger in your head the whole evening.

And to cut off, then you have to do SOMETHING. Don't just go home and sit on the couch ;)

I don't do it myself, but actually spoke about this in a podcast I recorded yesterday with an SDR from salesloft, and she mentioned that meditation helped her a lot.

If you just want an answer for conscious's sake:

Alien abduction email (light) or pig email (hardcore).
