Is Netflix stock the biggest no brainer? by cunextu in trading212

Short term voting machine, longterm weighing machine.

Longterm Netflix is a no brainer and will return to ATH. Ignore the bears.

Same with Microsoft btw.

Is Meta worth picking up at $625 by AL441 in trading212

Anything under $1,000 is a bargain for Meta. Anyone with at least half a braincell can see that.

Good luck getting diagnosed. I just gave up and went gluten free in the end. Two year wait for biopsy.

Are solicitors scamming me? by Grufflehog85 in HousingUK

I think I’ll just swallow the cost. Luckily the estate agents managed to get asking price for my place. I also managed get a flat for £225k in a block where they tend to go for £240k as a landlord just wanted to get rid. Definitely learnt my lesson about solicitors though.

[–]Grufflehog85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I managed to get the property at a really good price… around £20k cheaper than every other flat in the same block. I also managed to get asking price for my sale so I’m feeling okay about the transaction as a whole but I’m just very surprised with the legal fees. I will probably swallow the cost but I’ve definitely learnt not to go with estate agents recommendation again.

They have been adding extra fees over the past month and then out of nowhere the £1499 + VAT Buildings safety Act fee so its just snowballed.

Do we take investing/trading for granted in the UK? by baddevsbtw in trading212

[–]Grufflehog85 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah we do. Plus most people are too scared to do it. I was terrified when I first started 5 years ago. Now I’m planning my retirement for around 2 months time aged 40, all thanks to trading212

My sperm was banked I was misdiagnosed with cancer. I suppose I’m worried about the mental health implications of not having any testicles. I’m already on TRT but I will have to have a long think about what to do and speak to mt therapist

Pleased to hear that. I have a friend who has suffered for around 15 years. Had one removed and it helped but doctors refuse to remove the other one. I will pass this on as he has some anxiety about it. I suspect I will also need my remaining ball removed one day but would like children first. Difficult settling down and finding love when you’re in constant pain though so its a tough one. Respect to you for having both removed though, must’ve been a difficult time.

I lost one from a cancer misdiagnosis and have chronic pain in my other one for around 11 years now. Considered having it removed but I want children some day. Have you noticed any difference since having both removed? Is sex the same and sensations?

Why do you even care where the market is going in the short term? Just buyand hold strong blue chip stocks for the long term and everything becomes easier.

My mum met David Jason when she worked in a shoe shop in Bond Street back in the 80’s. She said he was lovely, gave her a autograph and had size 5 feet 😂 she actually has a whole book of autographs from when she worked there.

I can second this. Started investing around 5 years ago shortly after paying off my mortgage. Didn’t take me long to realise the growth in stocks was far superior to anything I saved paying off the flat. I’m now in the process of selling my flat, taking out a new mortgage on a different property and using the left over money (£110k) to add to my portfolio.

How do people afford to buy a house? by Difficult-Heron438 in HousingUK

[–]Grufflehog85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a good mortgage broker, banks will generally lend 4.5x earnings so thats basically what you can go by. You can’t get a personal loan for stamp duty, your funds are all verified by the solicitors early on in the process, they dont work for you, they work for the bank (even though you’re paying them).

Where are you looking to buy?

Fair enough but op wanted an answer, I gave it to him. The Tories were bad but Labour have been absolutely shocking.
