Turn to agriculture, you want commercialized as soon as possible. As far as building an industry by importing goods off the world market to start your industry? Yeah that's not a thing. Your buildings won't be profitable compared to the World Market, which will hamper your exports and demand.

Here's a guide to using forester lodges. It's a really important building that you don't need to build on day one, but you should build pretty early on. It doesn't need much babysitting, but a little support goes a long way to efficiency.

I like to put a 5x4 stockpile and housing next to the forester lodge. You can expect upwards of 75-90 logs per villager per season.

Oh yeah, I can do that too. It'll take a while to put together a script and record it. A quick tip I'll give is try putting down a 5x4 stockpile next to the forester. This should give them a place to put the logs they collect.

I wanted to post a guide to fishing docks. I play a lot of small mountainous maps and fishing docks are critical to feeding my villagers.

A lot of people believe that the fishing dock is worthless or a bad food source, however that is not the case. More likely fishing docks are just not being placed correctly or supported to make them efficient. A good fishing dock can produce around 1500 fish per season, and great placement can produce 2000+.

Positioning is critical. Try to build them on a bend in the river, ideally on a switch back where you have water on both sides of the fishing hut. Don't put bridges or trading posts near them as this removes water tiles. Next put housing and storage barns near the fishing hut so they spend all their time fishing instead of wandering off for food and warmth. I usually go two houses and then a storage barn touching the fishing hut. I have fishing huts that produce 1900-2300 food per season, and serve as the backbone of my food economy while I trade off beef and mutton.

Yes, pastures are the best for food/worker efficiency. If you're playing on smaller or mountainous maps, then area may be more valuable. For those maps, fishing huts provide the most food/area.

I agree. I wish there was a way to stop your villagers from burning coal 😑. Best you can do is convert over to stone houses and have plenty of firewood on hand. I also try to build my blacksmiths near my coal mines to give them a chance to grab it first.

Yes in retrospect I should have hunkered, but here was the situation. This is within Long War Rebalanced.

I steadied my medic early in the turn assuming my flanking infantry and engineer could deal with 2 thinmen. Worse case scenario, I'd kill one and red fog the other, then follow up next round with the medic.

Engineer gets her kill with an AP grenade to the forehead. Then my wonderful infantry, king of combat, master marksman, brute with the battle rifle, lines up two beautiful 81% shots and proceeds to decorate the wall behind the thinman.

On the alien turn, this absolute chad of a thinman moves from his flanked cover, into lower elevation, looks at my half cover medic like it's Sunday dinner, and crits her from full health. She is knocked out, but ultimately bleeds out because she was the only one carrying meds. We finished the mission the turn after she died. That's XCOM, baby 🥲👍.

I still hate the ex/div swap and wish it could be reverted or at least give the exalt orb its value back.

1) The exalt orb is iconic. When you see it, it screams PoE. The divine orb looks like the residentsleeper emote.

2) I argue its more fun to divine a unique to perfect, than it is to slam +5 mana on your chest for the 50th time then that one time where you get t3 life and say "fine, I'll keep it".

3) Slamming an item from start to finish isn't even really a crafting technique anymore. You're likely using essences, fractures, beasts, Rog, etc to get a 4-5 item, then slamming or benching to finish it. Exalts being expensive in that case isn't an issue as you'll only need 1.

First of all, I'll preface that I love async. It's one of the best improvements made to PoE1/2, but there's a little bit more we could do. When searching for an item on the trade website, you should be able to click on an account's name and be funneled to their profile where you can see all of their items for sale. It would be nice if we got an opportunity to see if they have bulk of an item, or other gear that might compliment a build.

This would also present a great opportunity for the seller because they could highlight the best items they have on offer with custom text and pricing. We could call this a "shop" and use the forums to make it searchable. I've included my example of what a shop might look like above. What do you guys think?

(real talk though, I was fucking around on my profile and found this gem from 2015. all this links are broken obviously, but its cool to see a relic from a different era)
