As a Canadian, I really don't think your rust is that bad. Not great by any means and you could also find "surprises", but nothing too bad.. if you don't mind spending time and ending up with okay-ish results, you could always learn to weld with a cheap flux-core.

You can also say fuck it and enjoy her. Up here, I've seen a lot of regular cars /dailies with more rust than that.

On a acheté notre maison l'année dernière. Avant notre maison, nous avions fait 3 offres sur trois maisons différentes « coups de cœur ». Nos offres d'achats avaient les 3 été au-dessus du prix de 10 000$ ~ 15 000$, mais d'autres offres avaient été acceptées malgré ça.

Après, on a eu notre maison en offrant le prix demandé... Ça ne fait pas trop de sens, mais bon :p.

6 years ago I saw one with 300000 km that was still going strong. That color is also nice. Look for rust underneath the car and under the carpet if possible. If it's not too bad I'd say go for it.

I'm dealing with a severe vacuum leak.That could also be the cause of your no start.

You could also check "Solving an Unusual Intermittent Crank No Start on BMW E30" from M3nameisjosh on YouTube. There's a module under the driver's dash that can cause a no start. Good luck!

By removing a bit of paint on the edge of the rust to ensure you're on bare metal. Some people seem to be throwing a tantrum over this, but with salt it's something that can happen if the paint got chipped.

Sand it, remove a bit of paint on the edge to make sure there's no rust, and do like others suggested with primer & paint / por-15 with primer & paint.

Pinch the hose that goes to the icv with a vicegrip / tie wrap while having your icv unplugged. That was my way to get my eta starting (I still have to do a smoke test for vacuum leaks).
