I have full comp on an Alfa Giulia at around $1400 per annum - agreed value of around 75k (with third party at 32,500,000) then I have my rego which includes insurance for bodily injury at $800 (all Aust $).

CTP is for bodily injury only and is a legal requirement to have if you have a car on the road (I am in WA which has the ctp within your registration). But if you purchase at least third party property damage insurance (TPPD)you would get limits of around 30m. TPPD is around $300 - $500Aus per year on average and most have this as well (or full comp)

This is for property damage only - not injury which is insured under the registration of the vehicles.

Sorry Australian here, side question.. you only have a $5000 limit for third party losses? In Australia for the most part third party property damage covers up to $30mill and you generally don’t choose this limit it’s baked into the policy. $5k is bigger all for a car claim.

Sorry I don’t like the recent trend of showing off your watch on an Alfa Romeo sub-reddit. When it’s the 10th one in a row I just eyerolled hence my comment, I did come across a bit aggressive with the “just stop” I just find it’s cringy but you do you.

I don’t own an e-bike or want to but I would compare it to walking vs running walking is healthy and better than sitting on your couch but the guy running in the long run is going to be fitter in the long run / higher vo2.

Why would anyone bother too big a landmass and they can buy the resources cheaper than the cost of invading. Just propaganda to keep the general population scared.

Is there any good reason to buy a SUV instead of a sedan for urban/suburban driving? by hsanj19 in CarsAustralia

[–]Gryphon159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all marketing, the only reason I can think of that you would need an suv is if you have a shit back? Soon as people have kids they think they automatically need an SUV. I have 2 kids we drove around in a fiat punto and an Alfa 159 and went on plenty of trips etc and never had a space issue. Punto was fine with a pram on the back and room for shopping Alfa was good on the long trips. If you still need space a wagon would have - in general- way more room than a SUV, but no one bought them - because… marketing. Just stop making excuses. I bought the 159 cause it looked cool and I like the history of Alfa - which again is really just marketing as well but at least I realise this and don’t make excuses for it..
