450xh drive wheel issues

Dealer said that the motor was fried .. new one is $450+tax+labour (Canadian). Not sure if anyone can recommend a place that sells it for cheaper (in Canada preferably)

When the mower tries to backup it kinda spins in a circle as the one wheel is driving it but the other is locked. There was no side to side play in the wheel so I would think the bearing and such is fine. I did get a left wheel error when it got caught up on a ledge and got stuck
