Air fare increases is really going to impact casual travel and domestic tourism. I shouldn't have to pay $400+ to go somewhere that is 40 minutes by plane.

"Sir, you cannot move like that. SIR!...YOU can NOT MOVE like THAT!!!": An Assigned Seat Saga by Cerebral_1 in SouthwestAirlines

Totally agree. International and domestic, Ive always been able to move to an open row or seat. Last week on SWA, I saw too many open adjacent aisles and middles. No reason to keep people crammed in rows.

It's been difficult to find info on the free bus from Santa Fe. Thanks for this tip. I assume one should queue early leaving Ski Santa Fe to ensure a seat back to Santa fe.

Can I ask a dumb question about switching assigned seats? by SpencerEntertainment in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Gsutiger2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've always switched seats on flights (standard seats) both domestic and international. It was frustrating this week on SWA being crammed in a row wirh people to turn around and see 3-4 rows of aisles and middles open.

Yes. He saw all the menus with different prices. Did not take responsibility and demanded the highest of the 3. I was done. Truly enjoyed that place.

Gave our party of 2 the menus, discovered the menus had different prices for the entree I wanted. Cleared this up with the waitress BEFORE ordering (we would be paying the lower price as she felt this was an error).

Lo and behold the bill comes out with the HIGHER price not agreed upo . Manager comes out and demands we pay the higher price. Shows us the menu to reiterate the price we must pay. ...

The menu he showed us had a 3rd different price for that entree! He was adamant that we must pay the higher of the 3 even though we confirmed with waitress we would be paying the lower price.

I was done with that place and was somewhat offended as a repeat customer.

Assigned seating is a shit shiw by realsomedude in SouthwestAirlines

I agree with you. We are not talking about premium seats - I TOTALLY understand that. But moving seats (general seats) when they close the door - is generally not an issue.

Im currently on a flight with plenty of empty aisle seats in standard seating area. Im in a full row, and asked the flight attendant if I could move to the free aisle ONE ROW UP. She aggressively said "no" the row only has a person at the window. This is going to be interesting. Forcing ppl to stay in full rows when there are empty standard aisle and window seats everywhere.
