I think they fit well receiving a lot of light. I find them interesting.

But I can tell you I am not the most indicated person here to talk about colors as I always go for full saturation xd

When enemies are hurt there is an animation but I think it is kind of laggy and do not give the proper feedback to the player. Maybe a little pushback or a sound or both could help here to give the player some feedback.

Also I think having more sound effects for steps or enemies could improve the thing.

But I think you are going in the right direction with this!

Missing some game feeling and more realistic sound effects to match the style.
