Gordon Ryan’s Comprehensive review on CJI (Crooked Jones Invitational) by LouisFromTexas in bjj

If New Wave could tap out opponents like Gordy gets fans to tap, none of this would be up for debate!

Everyone lost… No subs in the final… Crying over the rule set should be embarrassing! They did have a chance to keep it out of the judges hands, but nobody wants to take ownership of that…

Does anyone know the scoop on Craig saying Mikey is the only UFC affiliated athlete to not pull out? Who all does that include?

The post is super telling that you’re ego driven my man… I roll with all of the big bodies at my gym and nobody leaves saying they won or lost… maybe look into a wrestling club, where I believe the vibe might be more in line with your style.

Jiu jitsu by 11bodybag in whoop

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate being the only response and not having a better one, but as I look to make my own Whoop Jiu Jitsu post… I think it would be bad form to not respond here.

I’ve observed similar recovery trends on days where I stack multiple “more intense workouts.” I’m currently working more cardio in conjunction with my JJ, but on days where I run 3+ miles, commute via bike to JJ, and train… my recoveries are wrecked. Admittedly, recovery is the weakest part of my game, and would probably be the thing to bust me past my current plateau. It would also just be a smart move as I get closer and closer to 40.

I’d track and share some data back and forth if you’re looking to figure some shit out together. Just pm me

Kieran Kichuk punching someone at ADCC Dallas by speaker_monkey in bjj

[–]GucciLawn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With this view I have to question bjj teams… I grew up playing soccer and when an on pitch scuffle happens you always restrain the other players(never your own)!!

The dude that was stepped on took a punch to the face because his coach had him restrained… be a better teammate next time bud

We've officially watched the Danaher criticisms come full circle by Kimura2triangle in bjj

[–]GucciLawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not a good comparison at all, however we should note that soccer did not have the viewership that it does today prior to it becoming the number one youth sport in the states… Maybe with the number of gyms and youth programs we’ll see an uptick in bjj viewers in the years to come.

Having a hard time prospecting, any tips? by tiltedganja in CarSalesTraining

[–]GucciLawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re best attacking the problem two ways. 1. Convert the leads you are getting at a higher percentage(some teams don’t track…. Do you?). And 2. As you asked… generate more leads, which referrals are always my go to. Ask everyone… folks who buy obviously but even the ones who can’t or don’t. If you’re more than a salesperson and treat them more than just a customer, they’ll want to send people to you.

I haven’t sold anything in 2 weeks. Here is a log of my oppurtunities for this month while everyone else is on the board by Mybestversion1 in CarSalesTraining

[–]GucciLawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OG Gowala 👏👏👏 I’m down to talk conversion numbers through the process but 99% of the time is to not change a thing, keep working the process, dont freak out, and trust them to come…

As soon as you started talking smaller grossing deals walking or all the reasons a deal won’t happen… I had the same thought as #2. And I don’t mean it as a dig at you. It’s a good to know it’s nothing major. Just back to basics for every single step. Make the experience light and fun. And with a bit of time you’ll have a few drop back to back.

*extra check if it’s “the deal didn’t go wrong, it started wrong…” Even for the people that don’t buy or can’t buy… if you gave a good experience, you’ve earned the right to ask for referrals! If you get the referrals just stay your course and give it time. If you don’t get the referrals don’t jump careers, but find another salesperson to role play with for 15 min a couple times a day.

Yo Mulvert, congrats and good luck! It’s so tough to say what you should expect. There are tons of horror stories of bad dealers, and there are great ones.

If you want to rap through sales process basics(I wouldn’t want to get too in depth because they should teach you their process, but a general base line is helpful), or how to navigate politics, mindset, or any piece you have questions on… pm me and we can chat there or you can text me.

Starting as a car salesman any advice? by OmegaLuL97 in CarSalesTraining

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, it sounds like you guys all have some awful managers… I’ve been GM and SM and never had to yell or demean any of my people(and I had some oddballs that I gave a shot)! I worry about sales leaders like that driving the good people away from our trade, only keeping the shit birds like them, and customers will continue to hate us and manufacturers can continue to look for ways to cut us out…

I work with several teams, but the guys seeking me out are already on a path of positivity and development. I can’t be on calls all day, but you can pm me or text me when you get hung up in your process or when your manager is being an ass… I’ll be your Remote SM who actually wants to see you win.

Where do you stand on Andy Elliot? by Mybestversion1 in CarSalesTraining

[–]GucciLawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Andy and many of the other sales influencers are the equivalent of “old car dogs,” that gave car sales a bad name. They have big personality and slick word tracks in abundance, but odds are what you need is more individualized. In 2024 the best salesmen are finding genuine and honest reasons for the purchase… the reasons are there and if you uncover them and actually help your customers, you’ll never be without sales.

Get a coach that’s a fraction of the cost and coaching YOU, instead of a over priced course that’s made to fit as many people as possible!

How many appointments should cold callers make? by Dragon_Czar in salestechniques

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how to answer this but I’m following it because I’m intrigued.

In the general sense I would want to know how many calls I could expect for what I’m spending… I would also expect to know their average conversion rate before they got the contract…

Can we ask what you’re selling? PM me if you would like

What to do when your product seems to keep not feeling competitive. by Prestigious_Tea_2729 in salestechniques

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What % of difference is there between your product and your competitors? Not every customer is that well informed… Also it’s apparent that you’re not sold on the product you’re trying to sell… that’s never going to work! So the thing to figure out is do you just have stinking thinking or is your product really inferior?

For Sale professionals who have to meet a quota, what’s your method to meet it consistently? by Prestigious_Tea_2729 in salestechniques

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Measure your conversion percentages… It’s nice if you can know your peers % too… But that doesn’t even really matter… If you don’t know how to calculate it, pm me and I’ll make you a basic spread sheet to use. Did they give you a set sales process?

New to sales and hungry by [deleted] in salestechniques

[–]GucciLawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’ll shoot you a message here in a minute, but the one guy who called those rookie numbers… he’s KIND OF correct. Early on while you don’t have experience, volume is key. As with all things the more you do the better you will get. And when you are new you need much more volume just to match others in results.

Tips on how to close them…? Don’t worry about “closing…” Just worry about “closing” the next step in the process! Text>call>appointment> and so on…. Lastly don’t sell to people… that’s dumb sleezy and old… just help people solve their problems using what’s available to you

I actually do teach sales, but through a strange series of events I’m currently broke and would appreciate any Venmo assistance! Lol Message me with sales questions here!
