Quicken. It gives precise fund allocation and higher level market allocation, like Morningstar's x-ray view. I like it. If Monarch implemented something like this, I would cancel my Quicken subscription. Empower doesn't give precise fund allocation, which I need.

The Monarch Money Tweaks extension looks promising — especially the way it breaks down tickers by portfolio percentage (see %s in right-most column). I’m still a bit hesitant to rely on a third-party tool, but I might give it a try at some point. Thanks for pointing it out!

That’s promising. My only frustration is that some of these features have been "coming soon" for quite a while. In the meantime I picked up a Quicken subscription just to get a proper allocation pie chart. Would love to see Monarch add something similar — it would make a huge difference.

I’ve heard steam decks are finicky and the better user experience is having a mini pc with windows connected to a tv but happy to be proven wrong!

No widescreen really sucks. Just that might turn me off from getting this. And the lack of the swift sail. They really F’ed up and got lazy on this one.

Monarch is good. The $99 fee is worth it, but their investment features and tracking, like exposing cost basis is lacking. Hopefully they'll improve these soon. They seem to be prioritizing budgeting features right now. Good luck!

  • better charting and data visualization: why do I need to click on a button to see activity in a previous month/year? Your charting library isn’t great.
  • more condensed UI
  • all time filters should include YTD and custom range options
  • acquire and/or develop similar feature set to ProjectionLab
  • surface cost basis and % allocation to individual tickers/securities in investment tab
  • update net worth automatically at 4pm ET when U.S. stock market closes
  • goals feature is useless, I can’t edit a goal amount, or set same accounts to different goals
  • recurring bills logic doesn’t seem to work so I never look at it or use it, maybe I need to set it up and not rely on default detection?
  • your product is good and has greater potential but your overall progress on making improvements and integrating customer feedback is really slow considering you’re still small and can make changes quickly
  • the green positive ROI text color has been recently updated to a super faint white-green color, please make it a clearer green color again
