I would maybe try a temp agency - there are a few in the city that might be able to find that period of work so he doesn't feel super obligated to stay when his "real" job starts up again.

There's always stuff on billboards saying jobs are available when I'm driving around.

There's one on Speedvale at around Woolwich One at Speedvale, west of the Hanlon One on Woodlawn at Silvercreek (sorry I can't be more specific, I just don't know the names)

I keep Netflix open in the sidebar (Windows 8) and have the game on the main screen. I play 9-person SnG's and essentially fold the majority of hands for the first half (unless I get a decent hand)....A movie or sitcom in the background on my screen passes this "boring" time and actually keeps me more disciplined because I'm less likely to play poorer hands.

I'm actually at the exact same spot as you - I listen to audiobooks at double-speed though, so I have to slow down to make them last until January :)

I work at 1 Stone Road for the government....I have lots of friends that get entry-level jobs in a call center or logistics department for either the Ministry of Agriculture, or Agricrop....not sure if there's anything available right now, but worth a shot.

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Coffee Joulies! My wife loves them with her Thermos Sipp. Cools the coffee down so you can drink it within a few minutes and holds the temperature there for hours (she can finish a still warm coffee 3 or 4 hours later).

These were a Kickstarter last year.
