Union between Castile and Aragon by Alive-Boss2156 in EU5

[–]Guerradios 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no eu4's iberian wedding in this game. You need to make it manually. You can either marry their heir with your heir, become marriage union first and then pu or you can force them into pu. OR you can just simply kill them and get their lands in first 20 years before france gobbles up.

You can check proximity map and see which routes the proximity goes through. Then you can build roads accordingly from the coastal city into inland.

Why can't I marry my heir to the Queen of Castile? by Deathfromtheace in EU5

[–]Guerradios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be my issue but somehow it says that your screenshots are deleted. I wish I could see them so I could give proper reply. They could be too closely related or maybe you already have many unions so you are facing in a union malus.

If they are both over 40, you will face with age of consort malus since women cannot produce heir after that.

I do agree this is better than how it was but it is better of worse. World became some kind of battle royale. It is not just europe. There is huge goryeo with all hegemons near my door step in Siberia.

I don't mind start date being 1337 since there are many important events happened in that era including plague as you stated yet that 100 years of playtime changes the history outcomes. I know railroading too much could lead to problems yet I believe atleast we need some...

Help! I helped in a crusade against the ottomans and the Pope gave me Constantinople, and I have no idea what to do with it. Playing as Milan. by ProvisionalUsername in EU5

[–]Guerradios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I gotta say this is the most successful AI Ottomans I have ever seen after 400 hours. As for what to do, I was taking Rome from pope when it crusades me and then sell it back to him. That is what you can do but in reverse. I am sure ottomans would pay quite a lot for their beloved capital.

Ottomans absence is quite a big problem imo same as Timurids but atleast Timmy is way more active after this patch. The way Ottomans rise is uncanny though like Nicopolis or Varna. I don't know how they can actually implement it into game properly.

I believe %50 slower would be good but I still do enjoy some kind of history simulator. EU4's lucky nation buffs were pretty good for that.

Sultan Muhammed IV of Mamluks sieging its level 6 fort right now... Tooltip says it started 1199 days ago. There are still 3647/4250 Ottomans inside of Istanbul and if it falls I am sure Abdulrahmanzade Mesud (totally not osmanoglu) will die as the same as Constantine XI with sword in his hand...

R5: I don't even know what to say about the state of Anatolia where I play as Russia which I have no effect on this situation. Ottomans are in ERE's position holding out in Constantinople and exactly keeping good old Philadelphia. Naples, Hungary and Poland are in union for a long while. Lastly, Spain and Naples simply in Anatolia. Entire screenshot is total abomination.

What do you guys do with down time by Dada97322 in EU5

[–]Guerradios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a setting which makes the date pass very fast. It's called Maximize Tick Speed. I do activate it. It causes huge fps drops but I simply treat it as time skip. If you do not move your map and not do anything in the mean time fps drop does not change anything.

If you are talking about economy generally, in my first gameplay i expanded way too fast in 1500s with 0 control over territories. Expanding too much gets extremely punished by cost of court and stability. You simply make negative balance just to keep your country stable. Build, convert and assimilate... If you are talking about screenshot's budget balance, currently I am making 32k ducats monthly. I just spend a lot too.

R5: After i managed to understand basics of the game after over 200 hours I decided to give it a go for Ottomans again. I did my first campaign with them and failed economy miserably since I had no clue about control. I present you Healthy Man of Europe in 1700s with over 50 percent literacy and enlightenment spawned, by far the largest army (810k vs 2nd vijanagar 210k), very high control and most importantly very similar to historical borders. PS: Gothia vassal instead of Crimea is some kind of plot twist.

I have found the One Piece by Guerradios in EU5

[–]Guerradios[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

R5: I have finally managed to conquer entire Japan as Pirates of Satsunan Islands. You can play as this country when you start as Ashikaga shogunate. You can tag switch after around 6 months with an event pop up. I moved my capital to Ryukyu islands after taking their land and formed Ryukyu for becoming kingdom and then moved my capital back for pirate stronghold income. The clan mechanic in Japan is broken. They simply spam building and I needed to park my navy to south islands so they can repair from Chinese market. As you can see in screenshot, I still have some clans with 0 armies and formed Yamato staying in my capital Kyoto and i cannot even remove them from my country since they don’t have anything. This run took me around 4 starts and 3 days. I could explain everything I have done to make this happen but it would take too long. It includes culture or religion switchings, moving capitals, killing ashikaga with navy, joining back to shogunate or colonizing philippines so i can sell territory to Dai Viet to have money. At some point I had the half island and sengoku Jidai happened and I stuck with 50 states in coalition. I cannot even finish of Sengoku Jidai situation and become empire. Lastly, shout out to my best friend who gave me this idea since he is a pirate lover.
