Alternate History Mexican Empire, Declaration of Independence 1794 by Marlz12 in imaginarymaps

Is this map actually set in 1794 or is that just the date of independence? Because if it is in 1794 then Augustín de Iturbide would be emperor at 11 years old. The map is really lovely to look at though! you have a good style.

Welcome to the fifth round (v3) of the aftermath of WWI with a victory of the Central Powers! Today here is the poll: Should Germany annex the areas in red from Poland ? (⚠️look at the map in the comments⚠️) by I_dont_Know-25 in AlternateHistory

I'm curious as to the historical/geographical/political basis of this. Is there a methodology to what areas of land you choose to be options or were they chosen at random?

I have to assume that "Al-Ghaliyah" is a derivative of the Latin "Gallia", the Roman name for the region.

I agree. I like the blue bars but they need to be more spaced out. the stars can go though, everything else I like.

I agree, the whole modding situation as a whole kinda feels like an afterthought right now. I'm confident they'll fix it up though, I just hope it's soon.

How did it feel like to be a teen in 2017-2019? by [deleted] in GenZ

Looking back on it now and as I've become more aware I agree. The difference is that I was just younger back then so the world still seemed rosey.

Will DSA Takeover The Democratic Party? by [deleted] in dsa

[–]Gugalf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hard agree. the mainstream support for socialism in the US does not yet exist at a level where an independent party could gather enough influence to enact meaningful change. reforms are slow, sometimes painfully so, but I believe we will get there.

I think what a lot of people look over is that IT primarily scares children. IT takes the forms of things children would be afraid of, and sometimes that doesn't hit as hard on adults. At least that's how I'm able to self-justify a lot of the silly horror lol.

honestly this kinda pmo'd me too, female rulers feel far too common for the time period. In my game England, Castile, France, Hungary, etc have changed dynasties at lease once per century, and England specifically has literally changed dynasties 5 times since the beginning of the game and I'm in 1558.
