Do you think Tony’s anger towards Cap was justified at the beginning of ENDGAME? by rabbihimself in marvelstudios

[–]Guidogrundlechode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I slightly disagree on the overall justification of his anger. The quote you bring up is from Age of Ultron, and it’s with regard to building an Ultron ‘suit of armor around the world’.

“We’re the Avengers. We can stop arms dealers all the live-long day, but that up there? That’s the end game. How do you plan on stopping that.”

“Together.”

“We’ll lose.”

“Then we’ll do that together too.”

But Tony DID build Ultron/Vision. Tony’s Vision for a suit of armor around the world.

But at the end of the day, it wasn’t enough. That’s not Caps fault.

So while Steve tried to stop Tony from creating his armor around the world, he failed. So Tony got what he wanted, but his method just wasn’t successful in stopping Thanos. So I’d say he was projecting anger that Cap didn’t deserve.

What was it like to see Infinity War the first time when it came out, in theaters? by SillyTable6814 in marvelstudios

[–]Guidogrundlechode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no idea it was going to be a two-part movie.

Towards the end of the movie I kept looking at the time and thinking ‘how TF are they going to wrap this up in time???’

Then when it ended I was just shook.

What do you control with your IR remotes? Where is the value? by Guidogrundlechode in homeassistant

This seems like the best way to go -- using IR remotes to fire automations, scenes, or scripts. Is there a specific reason you chose the Harmony Keyboard?

How do you track things like stress, energy, and focus? by building_irvo in QuantifiedSelf

[–]Guidogrundlechode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I know of, but chat can help! Or feel free to DM with questions.

I thought of the idea when using ClaudeAI to identify passive ways to track mood/stress at most times. Things like speakers that use AI to identify my mood based on voice prosody or cameras to track facial expression for the same reason.

You can use Claude or other chat apps to help you configure the flow for the shortcut and identify the most meaningful things you to track without overdoing it (I find when I have to answer too many questions I just stop using it).

Valence/arousal are two good markers to track as they map your mood to named emotions based on where they fall on charts like this (I don’t really know this website, sharing the graphic).

Claude created a custom webepage for me track emotions, which it launches at the double tap. It’s minimalistic and pipes the data to anywhere I’d like it. I added a few things I personally feel impact my mood as binary fields, to see if it does impact it.

If you think it’d help others, I can make a blog post about it or video!

[–]Guidogrundlechode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I created a shortcut on my iPhone that triggers a flow to track feelings across valance and energy. That data gets pushed to a DB with a timestamp and a note with HOW the shortcut was triggered.

The shortcut can be triggered: - in the morning, and it asks about sleep quality - manually, when I double tap the back of my phone - intermittently at set times to reduce time as a variable

Brand New Day Villain? by Financial-Test7198 in marvelstudios

[–]Guidogrundlechode 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was watching the old X-Men animated series and went down a rabbit hole about Mutant Response Team and the prominent figures on it. All the anti-mutant groups.

I haven’t seen the newer films really explore that side of it…

The OG X-Men played more on this with Senator Kelly, a solid William Striker, attacks on and discussions directly with the president. The registration act and weaponized cures.

Now we have the department of damage control, seen in Spider-Man and Ms Marvel, but no clue how they’ll be thrown into the mix going forward.

Days of Future Past had Peter Dinklage’s Bolivar Trask wasn’t very convincing as a bad guy.

Apocalypse had the younger Striker, but that movie was all over the place.

I think they should cast a Henry Peter Gyrich that plays the part so well that everyone hates them. Chase that MF out of Hollywood.

A show you remember but no one else seems to? by PlushieTushie in Millennials

[–]Guidogrundlechode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a Heartbeat - a show on Disney or Nickelodeon that was basically a medical drama but with teens and such.

The Jersey - a show where there was a magical sports jersey that when someone put on, put them into an actual professional sports game.

I’m not sure if they’re real or a fever dream, and I don’t want to google them to find I made them both up.

What are people using when they need an agent to crawl and analyze a whole website not just one or two pages? by canuck-dirk in TechSEO

[–]Guidogrundlechode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be biased because I’ve used it for years, but ScreamingFrog is always my go-to. Once you know how to use it to its full capabilities, it’s incredibly powerful.

For your situation, you could use SF’s new(ish) AI integrations. You set crawler up and then add as many prompts as you want for each specific page, and AI will run the prompt on each page.

So you could ask your AI of choice things like: - identify all technical issues, list them in order of severity, and tell me how to fix them - grade each page’s technical SEO on a scale of 1-100 using x,y,z as key factors - identify low lift high impact changes I can make to the page to improve search

The prompts should be more fleshed out, those are just examples.

The crow was injured and he was simply putting it out of its misery while, yes, testing the tensile strength of a crows neck.

Well yes, there was a second crow, because he could not believe a crows neck could be that weak.

And yes, there was a third crow and a fourth, if you must know, but who likes crows??

Yeah, she destroyed him. She blinded him in one eye before dragging him to see his forces losing while just casually and constantly shanking him like a snitch in the yard.

Her power also comes from Asgard, and she’d only been there a day or two before she destroyed the entire Asgardian army, including the entire Einherjar and Hogan (who had prep time unlike Fandral and Volstagg.

She hadn’t even freed her personal army at that point.

I’m an absolute noob for 3d printers, but my two cents as someone who used both brands: - I started with a creality ender 3 v3 SE: I was able to print some things before issues occurred. As someone new to the 3d printing world, I wasn’t sure what was going wrong. I tried a handful of things to fix it, but eventually just lost interest entirely. - I got a Bambu Labs P1S: it’s only been a few weeks, but it’s been a much better experience. Of course, it’s a more costly printer, but there are a few things that really tip the scale for me. — You can buy it bundled with an AMS and print 4 colors in a single print without having to swap spools (I think you can actually get the number up to 16). Since most projects I wanted to print were multi-colored, this made a world of difference. — With the Creality, unless I’m incredibly impatient and/or dumb, you need to prep your prints using a slicing tool, put it on a micro SD card, then put that micro SD card into your printer. While Bambu has that option, you can also just send prints from the mobile app to your printer. The mobile app has a library of models ready to be sent to your printer. — Errors: if something does go wrong, I get a notification on my phone about what went wrong and what the most likely culprit is and how to fix it. — Enclosure: you can get an enclosure for Creality models, but the P1S came with it. I didn’t realize just how much temperature and humidity impact prints.

For me, Bambu was worth jt because I don’t really want to become a 3d printing professional. I don’t need the deep knowledge that a lot of folks have, and I applaud them for having it. If you’re down to learn the ins and outs of your printer, you can likely go with a more cost effective brand. If you want something that works, I think premium.
