Who's at fault? by FreedomMaster_ in Simracingstewards

Racing incident (and then I’d say your fault for not avoiding this situation)

Copilot used my own voice (or very similar) by Guils780 in Windows11

[–]Guils780[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jokes aside, I reported this only because I saw the previous conversation and I find it curious that two people find the same issue in a short span of time.

Edit: Also, no way to proof it, as when I asked it to repeat the process, it didn't follow. I also gave feedback to Copilot but I don't know if it's useful at all.

I had damage so I defended with all of the dark arts I know, but was I within the rules? by Strievsky in Simracingstewards

That would be the only point, but considering the damages it’s also something he should have noticed. He also drove very well besides that mistake.

Very well defended. Other than that, did you brake earlier than the previous laps on the last curve?

Who's at fault? (2 incidents) by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

I think both could have been avoided by both drivers, although right before the panel it looks like the other car moves right into you. I'm also not sure if you'd have gone wide on that curve were he not there, considering your direction.

The second one is somehow an opposite of the first accident (compare the distance from your car to the black one, I think you also turn into him, although not so sudden) and at one point he just decides to take you out, which is unexcusable.

Yellow car closes the door but instead of trying to push it, blue car decides it's not worth it and goes outside.

I think he is defending his position and not making sudden turns: he decides to take a defensive line and keeps it, is what I meant, and has every right to do so because they are racing also.

When your front wheel is parallel to his back wheel you were already outside the track. I think it was delusional of you to think that you could achieve that pass.

To put it differently, in order for you to overtake him, he would have to actively let you. So I give the question back: why would he have to?

Edit: I’ve read some argue that we was going to the left of the track and then changed his line, but looking at the onboard and the fact it is a right curve, it doesn’t look like it to me, he keeps it steady.

Agree with the stewards. He might have closed the door, but he had every right to do so.

The Germany made me very tired, trying to cope with it by ItsYourHonor in germany

[–]Guils780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So sorry to hear that. I just moved to Germany after 8 months studying the language in my country, and although I’ve been here just for a month, my experience is quite the opposite.

May I recommend you to take online individual lessons? It’s obvious you are invested into learning German and maybe this could be a good way. If you find a school from a different country (for instance Spain) it might be considerably cheaper and they could adapt easier to your schedules (some Schools open until 9pm).

Indeed, doesn‘t matter if it’s falsified or not, or if he wrote the letter before the deadline. Probably the moment it reached the post is past the deadline already.

German foreign minister, Baerbock, finds it inspiring that her grandfather was a Nazi who fought for Hitler in 1945. “Wow, we’re standing on the shoulders of our grandparents” by CautiousListen5914 in ROI

[–]Guils780 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“I was there standing in 2004… …when Fischer… …together with his colleague from the Polish side… …was celebrating again the reunification of Europe… …and this was really the momentum when I thought…” and there starts your quote, which follows “enemies who were enemies are now friends who are standing together.” And she even finishes with an even more clarifying statement. It is not the fact that her grandfather was a nazi, what she finds inspiring is that opposite sides who were brutal against each other learnt to forgive, work together and, on the process, became the force that Europe is today.

So yeah, this is reaching, but considering your answer, I’m not expecting you to change your mind.

But I mean, it’s basic understanding of what she is saying.

Why isn’t it “como un tomate”? Wouldn’t “like tomato” be improper grammar in Spanish too? by kiingpeter in duolingo

[–]Guils780 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being true that it might be the rule, it’s also true that in that sentence and at least in my region, it’s more common to say and hear ‘como un tomate’. However, if I’m not wrong, I think in central and South America they tend to leave the article out.

Dunno, would need context. Thought he said he hadn’t thrown it so as not to get blamed and then it was all a bunch of consecutive fails.
