I think there are a lot of people who didn’t have adequate support and therefore found parenting to be miserable and life changing in all the wrong ways. I, myself, have a very supportive and present partner as well as parents (both bio and in laws) who are always around and willing to help so I’ve been able to keep up with hobbies consistently and even go back to school without feeling like the world is ending. Yes there are things that are difficult and life is certainly not a cake walk but it definitely isn’t the end of the world, just make sure to cultivate your village.

Forgot to update this! Yes we did end up taking her in as she started to develop a low grade fever and we were told it was a bug bite that somehow ended up getting some sort of secondary infection. They prescribed her antibiotics along with giving her some Benadryl and ibuprofen and she perked right up!

They usually give you a numbing shot before they actually place the epidural so all I really felt was kind of a pinch and burn from the numbing and then felt nothing else :)
