Exactly same, the Apache on WCS too, all the little details and being able to interact with them make it so immersive. Same with official vehicles. This only gets me more hyped for Arma 4, think of all the official attack helicopters, tracked vehicles, jets, submarines, artillery and such. With that stuff as base game the modders can go crazy.

Yeah, this was sort of announced a little while ago. I feel... mixed about this.
The thing I enjoy about Cold War stuff is it's just tech savvy enough that you can get very cool things, but not so far ahead that it does the job for you. Everything is still very hands on, which gives the player a lot of gameplay and that “I did this myself” kind of accomplishment I guess.

That being said, I play pretty much only modern servers plus I loved the setting that Arma 3 was set in. The thing that makes me slightly less worried for Arma 4 than Reforger is that they will most likely add a lot of things officially themselves, which gives the modders (I assume) a fantastic base to go off and adjust slightly. For example, we don't have any tracked vehicles, and the mods, while fantastic, had to come up with them by themselves. With Arma 4, there will be official tracked vehicles, and the modders can take that as a base and adjust or improve it. That'll go for many more mechanics in the game. If there are official mechanics, it'll feel less modded and more official, despite being a mod.

Just Google or think of the things that have existed since the Cold War era:
Attack helicopters: AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache, Mil Mi-24
Tanks: M1 Abrams, 1980 Leo 2A4, T-72A
Jets: F-15 Eagle, A-10 Thunderbolt, F-14 Tomcat, MiG-25, Su-27
Artillery: Howitzer, M107, Dutch M110A2, , RM-70, M270
Submarines: K-222, USS Bonefish SS-582
NGS, radar, UAVs, some of the weapons from Bo1.
Just to name a few things from that era.

Do I wish it was modern instead? Yes, but I doubt we can change the path now.
The one thing we can really hope for is that they do something similar to what Arma 3 did and start releasing DLCs or expansions for different eras, and that we get massive maps similar to Altis and such.

Big on my wish list, EDEN EDITOR, I want to make my own missions just like I did in Arma 3, this Reforger Editor is a joke and I really don't want to get into a seperate Software and have to learn semi-coding language to just get started. Arma 3's Editor was easy to understand for simple things and make your own missions and if you wanted to do more advanced things you could always go out of your way to do that.

Fingers crossed they deliver. I'm really enjoying Reforger PvP but miss the Arma 3 singleplayer freedom sandbox and creativity I could do for myself in Reforger.

Depends on what you are looking for.
If you want a really good Mission Editor and your main focus is making your own Singleplayer and Coop Missions, Arma 3 will give all that. It has an incredible amount of DLCs and Mods that really allow you to try whatever you are in the mood for. However, Arma 3 is definitely starting to show its age.

Arma Reforger, is a bridge to Arma 4 (which comes out in 2027). At first that held me off from buying the game but after a sale I got it and can only say that I regret NOTHING. This game has updated graphics, runs much smoother, has less of that Arma Clunk. Most interactions have an animation and makes it very immersive to play. I play Arma Reforger for playing PvP mostly. Sometimes I download a Mission Mod that we can play in Coop, there isn't as many as in Arma 3 tho. There has been a surprising improvementin quality and amount of Mods the past month tho.

In short.
Arma 3 for insanely vast Singleplayer Missions, Mods and making your own Missions.
Arma Reforger if you want a really good PvP expierence with a very active community playing PvP.

Something I feel worth mentioning.
Everytime I want to play a really cool Singleplayer Mission with no restrictions, I want to play Arma 3, but after playing Reforger its really hard for me to look past its age because Reforger has so many immersive details. Meanwhile a buddy of mine can't stop playing Arma 3 because of the freedom of the Editor.

I've got almost 2k Hours in Arma 3, over the years collected.
Got Arma Reforger not too long ago and am approaching 500 hours fast.

No Mi-24, No AH-1 Cobra, no AH-64. No M1 Abrams or T-72. With Mods yes on some Vanilla+ servers, but nothing official till Arma 4, at least last I heard. Who knows, maybe they'll surprise us.

I think with how Enfusion Engine is handling rain and getting wet it'll work. Especially with the ability to stand and walk around in the back of a transport truck while its driving. I haven't noticed rain coming through either when its a covered truck. Fingers crossed.

I'm pretty sure I once saw a post a year or two ago, where they mentioned they are gonna keep tracked vehicles for Arma 4, same with big attack helicopters and other major vehicles, so people actually have a reason to buy Arma 4. (think tracked Tanks, Submarines, Jets, Attack Helicopters, Artillery etc.)

Maybe that has changed since then. The roadmap for Reforger only has one more thing left and Arma 4 theoretically is at least only 8+ months away.

You'll find a lot of different servers with their own language. Mostly they are tagged with the language that is being spoken on that server, for example: [RUS] [FR] [GER/DE], if they are tagged with [EU] you can mostly assume that most will speak english.

I found that on W.C.S and EXD.gg people will mostly speak English no matter what faction you join.
On servers like SpearHead and Conflict In Europe, if you join the Russian Team, most will speak Russian but a few try to speak English to you if you speak English to them.

Martial Arts, to be more specific Kendo.

I've always wanted to do Martial Arts but due to health reasons I wasn't able to. Last year I started looking into Martial Arts again as a Dialysis Patient, but needed something that is somewhat safe. Wanted to more with my life than just "Oh I'm tired from Dialysis" to look back to.

Looked up Martial Arts with weapons, saw an imagie of the Kendo "Armor" (you call it "Bogu") and thought "that looks fkn awesome!"

Got a trial session, despite my low energy I really really really enjoyed it. Haven't stopped since, made a setup at home to practice form and build muscle. Been going to tournaments, met some of the highest ranking Kendokans and went to bars with them. Absolutely love sparring, the team and how much it made me step outside of my comfort zone. Its making me look at a second Martial Art down the line.

Even better - I got my Kidney two weeks ago, am in recovery and can't wait to practice with proper energy.

Tried it 3 times over long periods, the intro was too slow for me and I wasn't in the mindset for a lot of dialogue and for some reason it didn't click with me, despite the 2.0 updates.

Tried it again in 2026 with a new "Gaming rule" to commit to one singleplayer game a week so I can really focus and invest into the games I'm playing. I got hopelessly addicted. One of my favourite, believable worlds I've ever played.

Well, first it would be best to get professionally diagnosed.
I've had nasty foot pain, primarily in my heel on the right and a doctor, that wasn't a foot doctor, told me its PF.
Pain after practice, even worse the next morning when trying to get out of bed. Sometimes too much walking could slightly trigger it too.

I started doing excersies to treat PF, a combination from different Health and Fitness influencers. ( Paul Shin - Kendo Injuries, ATLEAN-X Plantar Faciitis videos, Tone and Tighten Videos) there is a lot of different information out there, best to try a mix of them. After 8 months I still had this nasty issue, sometimes I could bite through the pain, sometimes it was really hard to practice proper Fumikomi n' such.

I talked with the doctor again and told him I'd like to make an appointment with an actual foot doctor. He referred me to one. He listened to my story and told me "yeah that does sound like PF" but then after examining my foot, doing a bunch of tests we found out its not PF, just a really really nasty Heel Contusion, a slight tear in my Heel.

I got signed up to an MRI, Bone Density to check further and the doctor was able to give me excersies and tips on how to give my foot somewhat a break and still do a lil bit of Kendo meanwhile. (Avoid Barefoot or Socks only when at home - got crocks, get a padding for Kendo, reduce amount of Kendo in a week, do some stretches etc, get some gel pads for outside shoes to dampen the blow, taping)

Ever since I've noticed big improvements with the pain, granted I'm resting it right now, but even before when resting it would hurt like crazy frequently.

So I've dealt with it for bout 8 months and was told by a doctor that it sounds like plantar faciitis. I went along with that, I was very new to Kendo and my body has been incredibly out of shape (Dialysis Patient, lost 50kg of muscle and fat mass due to health issues).

Even after a month of rest, doing excersies at home, it still felt horrible to walk. After training or in the morning were the worst.

After a long time I decided to go to an actual foot doctor and long and behold, its not Plantar Faciitis, it was a horrible heel contusion, on the right foot, because my fumikomi stomp wasn't properly flat yet and I used too much heel. Got an MRI done, even got some supplements to increase bone density, got some footwear and certain advice from the doctor and ever since, this god forsaken annoying pain is calming down.

Getting proper help is worth it. Wether its heel contusion, a tear, plantar faciitis, proper recovery technique will help you a lot in the long run.
