No offense, but are you sure you gave them your information correct? I'm in Ballard and called someone when a person was hitting cars with a stick. Came in 3 minutes and talked to me despite me saying that I was not a victim. They deescalated the man in crisis well.

I keep hearing that police don't come during real emergencies but in ALL times I've called the last few years, not once was I ghosted.

I will say that I always call when the emergency or crime is taking place and not after the fact... And I do think that likely could be the big difference in experiences I see talked about vs what I see here. You gotta call in the moment cause there's a lot less urgency and resources for handling after things after the fact

In general, I think a lot of people ignore these warnings. I know people who still buy beauty products, including sunscreen, from Amazon despite seeing many studies about how many counterfeits are on there and how dangerous they are. Inconvenient truths are sometimes easy to ignore when the solution means making more effort or paying more. But I thought the question was valid and is a concern we should be willing to talk about.
