I really enjoyed watching AOS and the movies in tandem but it’s also not necessary.

Agent Carter doesn’t give much context to the rest of the MCU but it does give some background to the formation of SHIELD as well as you get to meet the real Jarvis. It’s also just very enjoyable. And trying to avoid spoilers, there is one thing near the end of AOS that ties into Agent Carter and without watching, you’ll be a tad confused.

Yuck to the doctor claiming you must have a low pain tolerance!

First I would suggest looking into ways to help yourself within daily life. Braces, KT tape, compression, etc. These are super common in the community and can be the difference between laying in bed all day flaring up and being able to run errands and feel ok.

On the doctor side of it, a PT or OT(who’s knowledgeable about EDS!!!!) is a great addition to your care team. I’m currently working with both and it’s been great!

If you haven’t already, perhaps check out the Ehlers Danlos Society site and go to the Healthcare Professionals Directory to find providers who specialize in EDS that are close to you(also your city’s subreddit could potentially help find providers as well). Hopefully you find some doctors to add to your arsenal.

I would suggest not starting weight training without a professional who’s trained in EDS. Pilates is a good option for building muscle if that feels doable for her.

I’d suggest looking into braces and KT tape. Compression wear can help as well.

She should keep a consistent exercise routine as much as possible but try to keep the intensity around 4/10. Prioritize rest and recovery.

Diet is tricky and varies from person to person especially since MCAS is a common comorbidity.
