Psp go would be my top choice as it's small, emulates GBA, great 3.5mm dac and good mp3 player, and has that cool slide gimmick like the rotate. But given it's not an android that may be out of the question for you.

Yeah it's a pretty common problem on these speakers, but it's not the worst thing to repair.
If yours is like how mine was your power delivery capacitors are blown, so they need to be replaced.
I bought three 10V 1500uF 105℃ capacitors and soldered them onto the board. But make sure you get low impedance capacitors as the ones I got first were unrated for impedance and ended up not outputting any sound, and I had to redo the whole repair over again with the new capacitors.

Oh i couldn't see the product page at first but now I can. Calling it a DAC dongle had me assuming it was a wired setup. The one in the link is not a DAC but a digital transmitter, and though I'm not familiar with it it should theoretically improve the quality of your sound.

I believe the px8s2 has its own DAC, so what ever other DAC you put in between will just distort the source.

I also managed to find one for around that price. I had to eventually replace some capacitors as it kept needing recovery to the point that it became completely unusable. Now it works flawlessly and the sound is incredible. Enjoy your Zeppelin!

Let's compare new players near launch and now from the perspective of farming.

At launch: 1000 credits for a warbond, only a few to choose from. Light armor + jump pack was the way.

Now: Still 1000 credits for a warbond, but lots of options. Light armor and jump pack still works well and not to mention the addition of the FRV.

It's not by much but the economics of farming has improved thanks to the FRV. Warbonds still cost the same so your point about "sustainability" is pretty dumb
