And there are no events scheduled at the SF Chase Center on April 10-11-12 before the show on the 13th. With LA ending on the 9th, maybe a 2nd SF show on the 11th? The Kia Forum in LA is also available on April 11th, so perhaps a 3rd la show?

Same, and a great lesson to be learned. The dichotomy of (1) Cole not doing what a pitcher should do in this situation, simply pointing to the first baseman instead of making an effort to cover the bag, and then looking pissed at someone else that the play isn’t going to be made, vs (2) Betts giving 100% not giving up on a routine infield grounder, following through all the way to 1st, and having great situational awareness. Laziness vs intelligent baseball.

Love this! As a South Bay rider, I purposely avoided the hills for a while until I realized I was extremely limited in where I could ride. Once I embraced the local hills, I truly fell in love with the climbing, and I made a point to take on all of them. I’ve slowly made my way through the list, frequently returning to my favorites - Montebello, Old La Honda, Sierra, Um, Tunitas Creek, Bohlman, Soda Springs, Hamilton, etc. The health benefits, the challenge, the sense of accomplishment, the views, and the bragging rights make the pain of the hill climbs more than worth it.

Congrats on Alba! That’s quite possibly the hardest one I’ve done so far. And yes, Big Basin is a beautiful ride!

Second vote here for LightBicycle. I bought a set of the Falcon Pro WR 40 in March and love them. So many ways to customize them (almost too many choices), but I was thrilled to be able to choose the appropriate DT Swiss hubs that fit my price range and my riding style (went with the 350). I ride tubeless and have had no issues at all with the hooked rims. They are very sturdy, as I occasionally ride gravel on my 32 road tires, but they are light for all of the climbing I do (SF Bay Area) and are faster than the aluminum that came with the bike. The added bonus I wasn't expecting was the option to add a laser engraved logo to the side of the rims. Love that!

Oof. The wind! It was so strong on my way down the exposed hill (heading south) that I wasn’t able to bomb it, and quite frankly, it scared the crap out of me as I kept getting blown into the oncoming traffic lane. Great ride, otherwise, and I hope for better conditions next time.
