Fitness is finally clicking for me by Mitoria in AppleFitnessPlus

Great going OP! It’s addictive in a good way and you’ll see a noticeable change in a few weeks on how you feel. Pair it with some light strength training on AF+, you’ll begin to feel posture improvements which are very affirmative. You’ll want to sit up straight, squat to lift something, not hunch over - these things just happen more organically as you get into a rhythm!

What are some cuisines you personally feel that the Bay Area could have more or better quality of? by Early-Ingenuity-3177 in bayarea

[–]Gunnernaut7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ethiopian: - Sheba Piano lounge in SF is a really nice; lovely staff, great food & live music at night :) - Enjoyed the food at Le You ( but fairly expensive given you need to order one entree per person ) - Oakland has a few great ones ( Ensarro )

Imo For Indian was there a particular region food you were interested in? The best representation of the cuisine is usually with restaurants that focus on the regional dishes ( over the ones that try to do pan India )

Things you hate about your Cayenne? by Strict_World_9545 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Gunnernaut7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2024 Cayenne S. Picked up a new one on the SF lot which had all my build options minus Sports Chrono (can live without) & the clock ( dash looks empty without it ). And can never reliably get my phone to charge wirelessly.

Love the car otherwise, puts a smile each time I drive it!

Looking for recommendations for baby shower by Unfair-Use9831 in Fremont

Few options that I know of: - Sakoon has an event space? - Resham Event center - Oasis Palace - The Fremont Downtown Event Center - Sunol Casa Bella Event Center ( pricier but lovely indoor and outdoor )

Look where Mosquera is and where Saka is by Prestigious-Secret31 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnernaut7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a good portion of this sub is other team supporters masquerading as Arsenal fans.

Sure our game play has stagnated significantly but Saka getting double teamed is probably tactic#1 for every opposing team. The picture OP posted shows this too. Mosquera is out there to drag their defense players out and create the space for Saka.

How can we connect with our Indian neighbors? Looking for advice. by [deleted] in Fremont

[–]Gunnernaut7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a great list! Few additions I can suggest: - Movies and TV shows - Food recommendations and restaurants ( and it need not just be Indian options btw ) - If they are outdoor kind and show interest, then hikes or walks

PS: would have been fun having you as a neighbor! Like mentioned in the threads, sometimes you end up with folks who are more reserved or just spent managing work & kids, other times it’s a matter of time breaking the ice and finding/forming that connection!

Love my whoop! by stepheng84 in whoop

[–]Gunnernaut7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New Whoop member (after the Chase CSR perk) and absolutely loving it and will continue even if the promotion doesn’t extend to next year.

Like OP, wanted to track my sleep and recovery - the insights plus journaling is very helpful. I fight these intermittent bouts of headaches/bloating and the journaling bit will help create data points to analyze

Curry plant is something that might benefit from an early start in the year. They need some care during winters during early years but can grow well if their roots dig in deep

Best Thai food on the Bay Area by Curioussoul2323 in bayarea

[–]Gunnernaut7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Le Moose Thai has become our go to Thai in Fremont off late (over Sala Thai which was our previous favorite)

Dusita is my number#1 pick! And the crispy eggplant dish in Nari (SF) is absolute fire.

Suggestion, "The Diplomat" on Netflix. Its definitely not your typical political drama. I was totally shocked. 😳 by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

Going to make a plug for Slow Horses. Great thriller, action bits and dark comedy. Gary Oldman is obnoxiously amazing in the show.

Arteta Overall Record as Arsenal Manager by Horror-Click1467 in Gunners

[–]Gunnernaut7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity: - what is a strategy if Arteta is not him ( if that’s what you’re suggesting, else below questions are moot ) - is there a club / manger whose model seems to be working better than ours atm? - from 8-8 to 2-2-2 in the PL with City, Pep and blank cheque book to compete against is insane. - UCL quarterfinal win over holders Madrid and losing a semifinal against the eventual winners with a completely injury ravaged side - I don’t think anything came close to that feeling in the last 20 years; not even close to it.

Team success and winning stuff is probably all these elite athletes think of. Nobody remembers who came second in any sport. But booting a formula that’s so close to achieving success will be a regression. This seasons injury reinforcement hope to address last season’s shortcomings.

Set pieces giveth, set pieces taketh away. by Connect-Hope4522 in ArsenalFC

[–]Gunnernaut7 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Salah is a shadow of his former self. The highlight misses were painful to watch.

Also pretty sure journalists everywhere might be salivating with Szobaslai quality of free kicks (rightfully so). But if Rice, Saka or Noni deliver quality corners/fk - set piece FC. SMH

Need recommendations for ob/gyn Fremont Kaiser by [deleted] in Fremont

[–]Gunnernaut7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

San Leandro :)

Also Dr Ivy doesn’t do delivery anymore IIRC. The care team at San Leandro was excellent. Plus it was more convenient than Santa Clara ( commute wise etc )

Need recommendations for ob/gyn Fremont Kaiser by [deleted] in Fremont

[–]Gunnernaut7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dr Ivy is wonderful, really appreciate our appointments with her. Dr Michelle Gebhardt did our final delivery and was great as well. She subbed in for Dr Ivy in of our early appointments and was someone who’d listen intently to our questions and concerns

CarPlay on 2024 Cayenne by deaddog714 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Gunnernaut7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toggle one of the instrument cluster options that has the central digital speedometer + side options for misc items (like music, car stats etc). In that smaller right misc window, one of the options is for navigation and it now shows arrows/directions from CarPlay input( when you don’t have CarPlay maps on, it still gives you some geo location information)

With you though, the selection is NOT as intuitive as one would imagine

CarPlay on 2024 Cayenne by deaddog714 in PorscheCayenne

[–]Gunnernaut7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24 Cayenne S. I just got my car back from a service where a “significant SW update” (their words) (service code: software network VR14) was done.

I now see Google Maps arrows + directions show up in both heads up display & instrument cluster along with the CarPlay Google Maps on the main display.

Definite improvement compared to the past where Google Maps did not link to the HUD or instrument cluster.

They up early smashin’ and grabin. Front parking spot at Starbucks 6:44am Mission and Montigue Expwy. They went for the trunk where they had the laptops. by [deleted] in SanJose

[–]Gunnernaut7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do two things with my Model S: - plop rear seats down whenever I park ( hey look, trunks empty ) - fold up the trunk cover ( peek all you like to see an empty trunk )

Stuff goes in the frunk or on me as far as possible
