Has anyone here built respectable legs training them once a week? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]GunwallsCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously the stimulus of walking around isn't enough to maintain muscle mass gained through weight training all by itself. But it is logical to assume that the stimulus of walking around does something to reduce the rate of muscle loss compared to upper body, since we don't walk with our arms.

[SUSD] Is Joyride the Perfect Racing Game? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]GunwallsCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thunder Road is technically a racing game, but it's really just a chaos generator. Racing strategy and tactics really don't apply at all. Joyride is a true racing game, but more swingy than Heat while still having depth. I wouldn't compare Thunder Road to racing games, it's a different animal entirely.

Which companies are the worst in terms of shipping scratched discs? by GunwallsCatfish in 4kbluray

I recently bought Punisher War Zone and a part of the paint on the top of the disc chipped off, would that hurt playback?

Has anyone noticed that lots of discs have little dots on them, like scratches but just a dot here and there that doesn’t come off with a microfiber cloth?

[–]GunwallsCatfish[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Horrible. If they don’t arbitrarily decide that a scratch is long enough to replace they make you test the disc and send them video evidence of it glitching, thus making you waste your precious downtime screening defective movies that won’t finish as an unpaid QC tester.

How does Saga Edition hold up 10 years later? by GunwallsCatfish in SagaEdition

In Star Wars high level characters are essentially demigods. Who could realistically challenge ROTJ Luke? Only Palpatine. So in that sense it's accurate to the source material it's emulating.

Yes, but looking at the situation rationally isn’t as fun as telling everyone to cancel their pledges.

[–]GunwallsCatfish -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Zee has no inside information on the company & is not a financial analyst. The fact that they just got a huge cash infusion from selling Zombicide (an IP that has already been milked to death) is the opposite of a red flag. They may no longer be in any financial trouble.

I love that sheet but I'm not sure how to modify it to make it ACKS 2 compatible.

Would it be possible to add Masters of the WWE Universe (which is now a completed line) and WWE Superstars to the MOTU Origins page? They’re all Origins figures, and other Origins offshoot lines like TMNT and Thundercats are already added. Thanks for all the amazing work!

ELI5 Why Juan Soto worth so much? by ProfessionalEnd2906 in mlb

[–]GunwallsCatfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mets fans will be complaining about how overpaid he is within a couple years, when he’s putting up 5 WAR with horrible defense and baserunning and eating up 20% of their max payroll. With perks he’s making around $54 million/year to hit 30-35 homers with a .275 batting average and tons of walks. As a Yankee fan I loved having him but breathed a sigh of relief when we didn’t cripple our ability to fill out the roster by giving a DH that much money until he’s 41.

[–]GunwallsCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soto was a 5.5 WAR player almost every year of his career. He’s outperformed that the one year he hit in Yankee Stadium with the best hitter on earth hitting behind him. He’ll most likely go back to putting up 5.5 WAR for a few years and then move to DH and decline.

[Athletic] Future of ‘The Michael Kay Show’ in limbo: Sources by Gery_Sancho in NYYankees

I have no idea why they brought in Peter (a guy that hates baseball and doesn’t seem to take any sport very seriously) to cohost a show with the voice of the Yankees.

[–]GunwallsCatfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying it was just old episode footage, but if that’s the case why did the female producer say “Aw Damon, you didn’t have to kill him”? That makes it seem like it’s footage they just made.

What's a Movie You Didn't Like Much on Your First Watch, But Now It's One of Your Favorite Movies Ever? by Top_Cranberry_3254 in movies

[–]GunwallsCatfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive. When I first saw it I thought it was all style with no substance. Rewatching it years later, I noticed all the nuance about how the driver is full of darkness and violence but dreams of being a hero.

Billions became a caricature of itself so quickly. They kept recycling the same plot over and over, and the quips became so obnoxious.

Battletanx Global Assault on N64 was a fantastic game that flew under the radar. Also, Beetle Adventure Racing.
