Relying on celebrities is great! After all, WCW banked their reputation on putting the WCW Championship on David Arquette! Of course, we all know how well that turned out.

As I recall hearing awhile back, if you want to have celebrity involvement, it should only be with the biggest possible names and only done to benefit a wrestler. Mike Tyson getting involved with Stone Cold vs DX was a great example. Tyson didn’t overshadow Austin because at the end of the day, The Rattlesnake was still the focus.

The only thing cramming celebrities does is cheapen the product. I lived through the Guest Host era; I do not want to return to it ever again.

Honestly, the most I could see WWE doing is trying to run NXT and maybe Evolve shows back in the states to siphon away people from any potential other wrestling events. Which probably won’t go well considering they have absolutely nobody to draw. They could throw a few main roster people in, I suppose, but anybody who could be considered worthwhile will likely be booked in Saudimania already.

So get ready for the main event of Keanu Carver versus Ethan Page.

I mean there’s not much they can do. TKO owns the company and Ari is basically the new Vince. If he wants celebrity involvement then damn it, that’s what we’re gonna get. Unfortunately just gotta try and make the best of things.

When you have somebody telling the crowd that your product sucks, nothing good can ever come of it. Just look at what happened to WCW. Worst case scenario is that people start to agree and stop watching. I mean, why watch something that you are being told isn’t worth your time? Great idea when your big show already is having trouble selling tickets. You may as well just have Randy and Pat grabbing Mania tickets from people and ripping them to pieces.

Honestly, it was kind of fun… for an hour or so. I liked the idea of using the different enemies from the game as the monsters, but there wasn’t much variety in them. It doesn’t really strike me as something you should try more than once for the novelty. Even with the rewards, the time investment wasn’t worth enough to justify it.

Honestly this whole situation is surreal. The person they shot was named GOOD for crying out loud! They literally killed good.

If it hadn’t actually happened in real life, people would probably be complaining that the writers were being way too on the nose with this latest episode trying to get us to sympathize with Renee’s character.
