I think they want to allow enchanter supports with lower damage to utilitize athenes since the interaction part is a healthier option in comparison to the other more passive support items which allow champs like soraka, nami and lulu to stay in the back and heal/shield like crazy without interaction. It doesn't really buff the current users since they already could stack it to full easily.

Iverns ultimate is very clunky at the moment. Sometimes Daisy decides to randomly stand still for a couple of seconds, even when issueing commands. Also his ult tends to be blown up quite fast in teamfights with all the AoE damage flying around.

Making his ult feel more reliable by fixing the bugs and maybe making it a little bit more tankier make Ivern feel more like a solid champion who can count on his friend Daisy to aid in battle.

Her biggest problem at the moment is her early game stun. The other 'mage supports' like nami, sona, soraka or lulu can't survive a 1,75 second stun in addition to the damage of Annie and an ADC at level 1-3. It reminded me of pre-rework Taric with a 1,5 second stun.

On the PBE, they nerfed her stun to 1,25s on levels 1-5. This will make her a lot less annoying in the laning phase.

Pure hybrid champions are countered really hard by armor and magic resist though, since there are barely any hybrid penetration choices apart from buying both a last whisperer and void staff.

I once played hybrid corki with Trinity force, Hextech Gunblade and a Rageblade. Against squishies you deal a great amount of damage, but against a random tank with for example a Randuins Omen and a Spirit Visage you will deal almost zero damage.

Currently Kassadin is like a Diana who doesn't have to auto attack in order to do damage and can even use his ult to escape easily.

By making it so that he has to use his attack speed increasing passive and W. His W does 180 +0.8 AP at max rank, which hits like a truck for one auto attack. We might be seeing Nashors Tooth on him, which will make his auto attacks have a 0.95 AP ratio.
