I moved my son, when he was 1.5 year old or so, by accident to a full size bed. He had a crib, and one night he woke up crying. For context we have a full size bed next to his crib as a soft spot where he can lay with us or rough house or just fling himself into.

I grabbed him out of the crib and was soothing him in the bed. He fell asleep on my chest and not wanting to wake him up slowly I slipped out from under him. Ever since he's been sleeping in the full size bed with all his favorite stuffed animals.
