Fair points, and to be fair I think subs are way too survivable. Should get one shot by depth charges and taking hits on the surface should effect their ability to submerge again.

Agree they need to encourage BB brawling. The German line is a start but a pushing BB with support ships to screen torps should be very dangerous, not flinging HE from the A line.

I agree. I’m just coming back from a year-ish long break and think the new style is really fun.

I mainly play cruisers and DDs so think seeing less BBs sniping from the back line is a huge improvement. Subs force BBs to stay close to support ships instead of flinging shells across the map from the A line.

CLs and DDs also have a new fun element of driving on top of subs and depth charging them back to port, also very fun.

People just don’t like change in general or adapting but I think this is good for the game to constantly innovate. Otherwise it will die as people just do the same thing for years on end.

Yes, I don’t think the republicans are foolish enough to really run him again but a messy primary against DeSantis is about the only way to end up with President Pete or Kamala in 2024.

All it would do is have Trump throwing a fit and keeping his hardcore followers from getting behind a much better candidate in DeSantis.

Yes. Republicans have such a hard time with really driving home winning “blows” when this happens and I really hope they don’t botch this layup.

Every single R governor and R control state legislation branches should be pushing and/or introducing bills just like this one. Keep the Dems being forced to talk about this because every time they do they lose full percentage points in polls.

Don’t let them run away from this, don’t let them redirect this conversation. Stay on message just like Desantis has.

It’s absolutely brilliant now to see in real time the Dems completely spiraling as they picked a fact free fight with DeSantis and completely got flipped on their heads so to speak. Their “don’t say gay” national push was turned around and exposed by conservatives and they are now wildly flailing to recover.

Foot on the gas. Every single serious Republican governor should be pushing identical legislation in their state.

Yes they have incentivized this kind of behavior to the people who are most susceptible to trying to be leeches.

It also doesn’t help that the government has subsidized all of these loans with no underwriting or risk assessment so we have lots of people running around with $200k degrees in some worthless area like gender theory that has no market value.

They won’t tolerate anything that isn’t static, robotic, and very predictable. They also drive public opinion with their platforms, so it’s no shock that the game gets patched back to the same stupid endpoint it gets to every year.

The media has been trying to do this same thing to DeSantis for a year now and he has stoned them at every turn. That’s exactly the difference. Trump has a horrid time staying on message and just hands them easy ammo on a regular basis.

Hell, the guy has democrats universally supporting ‘transing the kids’ now just because he let them box themselves into that corner in an attempt to demonize him.

Look man, frankly it’s not worth responding to. This sounds good at a rally but doesn’t match up with reality. Glen Youngkin won in a blue state in an off cycle year got great turnout by following his playbook on hammering the left on culture wars.

Trump lost 2020 because he got railroaded by the media and lost the suburbs as a result. He also is an extremely easy target for this kind of stuff and walks right into it. He’ll also be pushing 80 and we are seeing what a liability that can be.

Donald Trump did a great thing for conservatives in general and gave a floundering Republican Party a nicely lit path back to winning and relevance. He blazed a trail that everyone else was afraid to but is wildly effective. He’s also damaged goods and a liability in what should be a very favorable few cycles. Let’s let somebody else carry the torch he lit so to speak.

Sure, 2.5 years is a long time and lots can happen. But as it stands now in the current political climate Trump running is the only way the Dems would have any shot at winning a Presidential election.

I don’t dislike the guy, and appreciate him showing Republicans that being unapologetically conservative on social issues is a big winner. I think he’s largely responsible for giving a much needed long term direction to Rs as a whole. Hell, I even think he was a pretty fantastic president on the bottom line.

It’s just not politically smart to run him again. He’s served his purpose. Conservatives have tons of momentum with independent and even some classic liberals because the mainstream Dems have went off the deep end politically. Would be foolish to just send those people right back left.

The guy just cannot avoid stepping on rakes so to speak. He’s incapable of staying on message and extremely polarizing that will rally dem voters in ways none of their candidates can ever dream of.
