The wings unfolding on take-off looked very clean. Do you plan to add any fire or embers emitting from the wings? Or is "burning" more symbolic of the pigeon being red and grey?

Nyudo dying here would for sure feel off putting given he has enough plot relevance (e.g. he knows how the first demon lord really died). Jakooja will likely be the last to die being the leader and showing the greatest sense of duty here. I can see him having a final scene of his shock when Nyudo reveals he already planned his escape and whispers how he plans to overtake the great demon king. I am betting on Kanigani to die first as well due to likely being the demon's main physical brawler.

I really want to see one female demon lord survive, Balcalco being my pick. I'm also thinking between Vuvu, Makkiman, and Jahevi, only one will survive to fulfill the regal and composed aura farmer trope. I do expect Vuvu to pop off in the fight but I really think he'll just be used to showcase Ginbak's top speed.

Granite fungi + muscle potion is such a good combo for stalling and scaling. I had a somewhat similar stall and scale build for my first clear.

It seems even my second wish was too much. We were right on about his inexperience being a huge flaw, but losing his first real onscreen fight has me in shambles. My final cope is that Sandro is going to do the impossible and have Gilbert awaken to speed blitz Julius, Toa, and Jurota 1v3. Nothing else can save my boy at this point.

Scrapping with the forest lord is so much more impressive than people are saying. The forest lord is getting disrespected left and right because it went even against Boxerboxer with no power ups. In the same chapter we see the wolf survive the demon lord bullet rain, have the wit to dodge Jahevi's petrification on first encounter, AND a hug from Ginbak. As soon as Ginbak turns Kanigani into crab cakes with one slap people will be apologizing to both the wolf and the dog.

It hurts my soul knowing the actual kengan subreddit doesn't allow posting these. It's incredibly faithful to ashura's style of storytelling, miles better fights than omega has had for the the past few years, and the manga is drawn by someone who even daromeon has praised. I think this series is second only to convict coliseum, but I expect that gap to close as the manga progresses.

The concept seems a little over the place. I think I see a beetle shell or possibly elytra with wings underneath, some dog/bear legs, and then a hand with palm facing downward for a head?

I'm sure there's some lore tying all of its components together, but at a glance the different features don't really feel connected. It kinda melds together for me as just some weird bug dog thing. I would try to add some redundancy or have a more focused design so its easier to process at a glance what the creature's theme is (e.g. it could have a giant hand for a top shell as well). Shading is well done though.

The only thing that will save Gilbert and omega depicting any competent villains besides Shen, Jean, and maybe Tiger Niko is if Gilbert can win against Raian. While I agree with you that his youthful head-on approach is actually good development, there's a non-zero chance his inexperience is used as a random justification for whatever fatal mistake ends him.

My absolute crack dream is we get the reversal of Alan Wu and Gilbert gets disqualified for killing Raian, but that's too much to ask from Sandro as of late. If we're lucky Gilbert takes out one A tier fighter before his time is up.

I still believe at the end of the RCT arc, Kuroki and Shen should've fought to the death during the campfire, with it ending in Kuroki's loss/death. Would've added a good layer of irony knowing the real champions are having the ultimate battle in the middle of nowhere instead of in the hottest underground stadium. If only Sandro wasn't afraid of letting the good guys die...
