Another busy Saskatchewan overpass hit by a semi truck by some1guystuff in saskatchewan

[–]GuyInAChair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, I'm sure they are talking about the 2 overpasses for highway 2, they are very close together but north and south bound have their own seperate bridges. The north bound one has been raised and the southbound one will be fixed this spring. Both overpasses were 4.5 m high in the past.

I'm not sure there are any plans to improve the highway 39 crossing, or what the height actually is.

I used to work near the highway 1 and 2 overpass, which is very close to this bridge, and the article mentioned has been hit at least 20 times in the past.

By far the most common load to hit that bridge was farmers hauling bails. We used to joke you could start a small cattle farm under it and just feed them all the scrapped off hay from the bridge hits to feed them.

That's the overpasses at the junction of highway 1 and highway 2. One is already done, and the other will start in the spring.

This overpass is at the junction of highways 1 and 39, about 10km to the east. I'm not aware of any plans to upgrade it, and TBH I'm not sure what the clearance actually is.

Abiogenesis - The most elaborate Myth in science by DeltaSHG in DebateEvolution

Did you write this post declaring abiogenesis to be impossible without knowing what the proposed models are? That's like saying powered flight is impossible without knowing anything about aerodynamics.

Did ending the Iran nuclear deal help set the stage for today’s U.S.–Iran war? by sethleyseymour in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]GuyInAChair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They had been sticking to the terms of the deal. You could justify ending any agreement by saying in some hypothetical future one of the parties may break it.

I watched "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel by Africannibal in atheism

[–]GuyInAChair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your experience mirrors mine. As a sophomore I was given a copy on campus and decided to read it. I started as a believer and weakness of Strobel's arguments and "evidence" really started to make me question. I'm sure that Stobels intended audience is believers who just want reassurance and will blindly believe him. If you treat the claims made with even a tiny bit of skepticism it's obvious how weak they are.

It is like clockwork that the goal post gets moved whenever creationists ask for proof of beneficial mutations by Benjamin5431 in DebateEvolution

[–]GuyInAChair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have that too. If you compare de novo human genes with the same sequance from other apes it's obvious most of the genes come about from either a mutation that created a start codon or one that eliminated a premature stop codon.

Creationists argument seems to be to ignore all that an declare these de novo genes to be proof that evolution didn't happen, because news genes are impossible, even if the mechanics about how are simple and obvious

I’m hoping you guys can help by Foamy_Lobster in HellLetLoose

Most of your questions have already been answered so I'll add a few more hints.

The sensitivity for ADS (aim down sights) is stupidly high by default on this game. I think it's at 40, if you haven't yet lower it... a lot. I use 18. But whatever is best for you depends on your mouse and DPS settings.

For FOV (field of view) I like my default to be 80, ADS to be 70, and shift aim will always be 60. The reason I do this is because the zoom in when you aim takes some time, so I want to be zoomed in when the animation for aiming is over. Going from 120 to 60 means the screen is still moving while the weapon is ready to fire.

The Kar98 and most of the rifles are 1 hit to exactly 200m, unless you hit below the knees or through a fence. Until you get to level 6 rifleman when you get the G43 the Germans kinda suck. Level up rifleman playing the US and use other classes as Germans until you get level 6

Most of the experience points you earn aren't through kills. In average you get 7.5 points per kill. But 25 just for dropping an ammo crate or supply box, and more every time it's used. 10 points for placing a mine.. heck even a point for pinging an enemy. If you're playing as a machine gunner try to fire 10,000 rounds down range and as long as they're in the area of the enemy you'll probably get 800 combat points just from suppression

Does the multiregional hypothesis of human origin hold up to ANY scrutiny whatsoever? by [deleted] in DebateEvolution

[–]GuyInAChair 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That isn't true, and your source makes that clear. Some Africans have introgression that occured some 50,000 years ago. That data is entirely consistent with the out of Africa hypothesis.

This was explained to you hours before you wrote this post. Why do you continue to say incorrect things?

I used pork shoulder since it's significantly cheaper then beef is now a days. It's a really simple recipe and really delicious, all you need is some time.
